Here's hoping for a good game, Knights need to show what got them to the finals. Get to Holtby early, he is still coughing up bad rebounds in front of his net so he can scored on. Game on :hockeygoon:

End of the line, Sodom. Now that Washington has won it, there may be some hope for St. Louis, but not if they make stupid mistakes like trading Oshie for a guy that's not even with the Blues anymore. Not that I'm complaining. :P And finally, no more Emrich, Olczyk, and the turtle head.

Knights have come alive!

Or not. Congrats, Caps! It will be interesting to see the Knights next year!

I hope they get back to earth. I feel sorry for Gallant, who seems like a great guy, but with all the middle fingers I saw from Vegas fans, after the opposition scored in these playoffs, I find difficult rooting for them. And the Hawks remain the last Western Conference team with the Stanley Cup. :smoke:

Congrats to the Caps and all their fans. I hope TSS is happy. I thought the Caps were really bringing it through the conference finals and the SC Finals. Even though I am not a fan of the Caps by any means. I am happy for Ovechkin and the rest who struggled to get to this point. It is well deserved! I am also a bit happy yet bittersweet that my Bolts!âš¡ were knocked out by the SCF Champs. I wonder if TSS is going to start the 2018/19 NHL thread. He seemed to be the only Caps fan even though he did't actually go out and root for them  :P Edited by Crimsonmistymemory

You ever see a 3-1 lead get blown in the Stanley cup finals? Sit back and watch it happen!

Caps have done it a record five times. :cheerleader:

But never in a Stanley cup final! Solidify their place in history as the master of the choke!

You guys are forgetting one thing. Yesterday's loss means that if the Knights come back and win, they'll do it wearing those ugly home uniforms. What a terrible group Cup photo that would make.

I like their uniforms.

I like the road uniforms better, the color is a bit dark on the home ones but very clever design..

I've always wanted to see the Cup up close! I hope it comes to Hershey at some point; to the Caps farm team.

It is quite impressive, we have had it make stops out here a several times (Olympics and another I can't remember), last one was when the Kings won their first cup (2012) and Trevor Lewis brought it to a U of U football game.

It is sad they are going to be taking a ring off the Cup soon, won't be able to see Gordy Howe's name after that :eh: Loved that commercial with the players spelling out their names...so much history on that Cup.

One last post, it was an amazing show of will for the Caps to come back from a 3-1 against TBL and then go on to win the Cup. I have never liked Ovechkin but he finally acted like a Captain and led his team to the finals and a championship. They deserve some respect. And I am hoping the fan base in Vegas continues to support the team, it will be hard to top this season. I didn't see the fans flipping off the coach, I am sure that some of the bandwagon types will not be there next year but I hope to go see some games there next year. We will be having an exhibition game in September with the Kings and Canucks, so I can go to that as well.

Now if the Blackhawks can get their act together...here's to a better season for them.

Yeah, I went easy on him. Some call him "a sexual organ located in the lower abdominal area."

As someone who lives in Vegas, the Knights were exactly what this town needed after the October tragedy. The team fed off the city and the city fed off the team. It was truly and amazing season, and I was not a huge hockey fan. One of the hottest selling shirts in town reads "The Sport I Didn't Know I Loved, The Team I Didn't Know I Needed". I am a convert and will be following closely next year. Congrats to the Caps, they played a great series. Just remember, this was officially the worse season in Golden Knights history. Hawks sign Henri Jokiharju to a three year contract. Is this the right time to end this thread? ;)

Fine by me, but who will start the 2018-19 thread?

Since TSS may need medical attention for quite some time yet, maybe I should, a well known hockey freak. :gumby: Edited by blackhawkrush
