I think some are being too hard on the original poster ... I can see his point - I mean, if you are a fan of Rush, chances are that you'd have a few more things in common than just the music ... The two people would have a common bond with topics well beyond the songs - whether they share the same opinions or not isn;t really the point, it is an awareness ..

ironically ... my first real (more-than-one-date) girlfriend back in 1982 was a huge Rush fan ... and since then, I have not dated another female who came into the relationship knowing Rush

It's great when you and your significant other get off on the same music, but longing for a Rush dating site just seems like overkill.

I agree that RUSH has a male oriented audience but there are also a lot of ladys in attendance or there has been at the shows i have been to , surely women have the wish to find like minded people

Yes, and what percentage of women that you've seen at those concerts were there mostly because their boyfriends dragged them there?

I was just a the As The Crow Flies show in Portland (Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes). It was similar there as what you describe, girlfriends bored out of their minds during amazing jams. I'd rather not torture my wife that way.

Or myself. :P

If one your criteria for a partner is that they like a particular rock band, then I would suggest you are probably not ready for a relationship.

Could be worse...

As long as you divide the site into those who know PeW is a 70s album and those who think record company marketing considerations are more important than the creative aspect, it should work out OK, especially if you give ample amounts of birth control to the latter group, and clear instructions on how it works.

Happy gestation day, LABT! Why does your profile list your birthday?

One of my friends was at that Portland show.

I had tickets for the Philly show but had to sell them as I got stuck on a work trip that week.

My girlfriend loves Chris Robinson. I'm in Rich's camp and prefer Magpie Salute to CRB. But, we still make it work.

I have too much respect for your intellect to think this is anything but trolling, so before I craft a response, please confirm that you are.

I think we can safely establish that you are a 60s album.
