Is it wrong to be upset with RUSH for not making a new album

I hate to be so selfish, But i'm really upset with RUSH and Neil for giving up on RUSH, I know they all have other things to do in life.

Its been like "clockwork" for years, Every couple of years something new and awesome from RUSH for me to look forward too,

Now it seems to really be over and i'm upset to say the least, I wish they would think of the fans and make something new for us all. They know we want that,

They must have new songs written after all these lost years without them, They must play music its in there DNA I want to hear those songs big time, Also are they still friends ? Anybody know about that ?

RUSH 2018 Album ? I can always dream at least ---

Btw thanks for letting me join your RUSH Club, I dig it

definitely not, so long as you have understanding and respect for the band's reasons to retire. pretty bothered by it myself, no new Rush ever again isnt something to feel good about

Every devoted fan base wants the band to keep going forever. It's standard operating procedure.

We all want new stuff from Rush. We just have to accept the fact that they're done. It's part of the Circle of Life.

If they do, they will be so old that you may be very disappointed in the performance. Hell man! They gave over forty years. I got a lot more out of them than I thought I ever would.

There were several reasons, all of which are valid. Eventually we all stop doing things we enjoy for a variety of reasons. It's how life works. Enjoy what you have, don't lament what you don't.

Neil Peart has been in pain for a number of years drumming. He decided to go out at the top of his game and now can spend time with his family. After what happened to him in the 90s, I'll never fault him for that decision. The band left on top. How many bands/artists can you count that could claim that?

Your right, I got many years of enlightenment from the guys, I just really want more, Same as you

They can always play slower songs like tai shan

Neil didn't "give up" on Rush — he decided after 40 years that he didn't want to do a physically grueling job anymore, that involves a ton of travel and being away from his young daughter. I'd be excited if they ever did anything again but if 20 albums in 40 years isn't enough for you, I don't know what to tell you.

Wise words professor, Its just upsetting me, I bet they could have done 3 albums since clockwork.

Maybe they have some songs stored away, Oh well im a sad sap, I wish them happiness no matter what the choose to be doing

Tai Shan.............. Going to take a piss first. Finding a place to hit a one hitter without (these days) being caught and buying two beers for myself. And all along wishing I had mushrooms or real ecstacy (though I wouldn't do it these days) to allow me to make it through it. Edited by liquidcrystalcompass

I understand that, I wasnt trying to be bitter about it, I love Neil very much - I just want them to make another record

I just hope they are all doing well, Alex is my hero and the nicest one in the band, I would be thrilled if he made another solo album with Les claypool on bass !!!! :smoke:

Is it wrong I wish KISS has stopped in 1979?

Kind of wrong, Kiss rules,

But RUSH has the class to test time. I dont care what anybody says, RUSH should come back with a new album and there should be a harry potter part 8 9 10
