Shopping for new bathtub, etc. . . . finally decided to work on our 1970's Brady Bunch bathroom with the blue tub and blue sink! Tooooo much to look at online . . . .eyes bulging out . . . .first world problem . . . . :banghead:

Sorry, bc, but improving your house can be a bit of a trip, too! Plus, blue is my soul color...DqOocEY.jpg

ORFie, if only !! I'd keep that color blue. It's this color- at least the blue toilet broke a few years back so we're back to white on that!

Sounds like my childhood home that my dad built around 1959. Two main bathrooms...one was ALL seafoam green (tub, toilet, sink and tile) and the other ALL hot pink.

Funny thing is, I work in an old building built around that time and the men's room has the same seafoam green tile.

Back to your current dilemma, ever consider resurfacing the tub/shower white and replacing other stuff? Old tubs can be a nightmare to yank out.

 I too have the light blue toilet/tub combo in my 1978 bathroom!

Our bathroom renovation is getting complicated and pricey. There is only one correct way to do it and someone else is being dismissive of it-"That will look really ugly." That is no help!

We are not talking about decorating here. We are talking about that there is no access to the shower valve and pipes for our main bathroom. One time the shower valve did start leaking and we had to pay to have the tile carefully removed so they had access, and then have it all put back. Now we want to do a surround instead of tile and you just can't have no access to your pipes. :banghead: There is going to have to be an access put in and that means taking out the weird plywood built in vanity in the little bathroom that backs up to the big bathroom. And replacing it with a littler vanity so there is room on the wall for an access panel. Which half of the house thinks is unnecessary ??

What is wrong with this- Smyhfaxm.jpg. and covering it with something like this- GdUZEW6m.jpg

I guess the plumber is going to talk the other half of the house into it! :banghead:

I have one bathroom and if it doesn't work - that is trouble! The hidden panel with cover up doesn't seem so bad. If my husband has to access the pipes, he has to go into the master bedroom closet, where the is a 11 by 17 hole in the wall. Cannot see the hole straight on, but if you turn to the right - TaDaa!

That sounds nice! I'm not sure how the builders got away with having no access to the pipes, but our house and neighborhood went up quickly in 1975 and al the houses have weird plumbing. There is actually a twin house to ours a block away but I don't know the new people. The last person did extensive handyman stuff on that house and I told my husband I'm tempted to knock on their door and ask to see how their house handles it! (I'm sure they would let me right in, lol !)

I think they built my house right after ...we all have wonky plumbing around here also. Too funny!

A defective can of spray paint! I was trying to spray paint a wedding project in the nice weather before the snow returns tomorrow. The stupid nozzle leaked and dripped paint all over my hand and made the project look splotchy. Now I'm going to have to sand it and repaint. :banghead:

pRbDp7cm.png. We're making 6 of these! Right now I'm making the PVC frame at the top that holds all the lanterns.

I read a book while recording a record onto audacity so I can have the mp3s on my ipod.

I go to save it and an error message comes up.

I try this a few more times before I think I've solved the error message...maybe

I find that all of the audio is gone, which was just there a few minutes ago. I haven't closed audacity, and I haven't deleted it, and the track is still the same length as it was before, just without any audio.

I get sent on a hunt to find the missing files hidden somewhere in my laptop, which takes forever being a mac

I finally find them...only to discover that they're in roughly 6 second increments which are out of order and can only be opened one at a time by audacity, confirming my fear that it would take significantly longer to recover the recorded album than it would to rerecord it.

And I'm still not 100% sure I know how this happened in the first place.

My shitty job. I've been working at this place for about 9 weeks, and I hate it. Low rate of pay for what I have to do, and the store manager is an overbearing fake-friendly schmuck, who really creeps me out.

I'm tempted to just not show up on Monday and take my chances on finding another job soon. :eh:

I think alla those a holes need to be put in their own territory so they can eternally annoy each other and leave the rest of us ALONE.

I bought a CD online (on discogs) for more then a month ago, one that I have looked for during many years, the guy said the CD was still sealed and new. Today I got it more then a month later, and the CD is NOT sealed, and the case is broken, and the CD it self got some markings on it, so its not playable...

Idiot sellers that can't be honest, freaking hate them!

Just look at this:

Check discogs policy about returns etc. If you can't return it for whatever reason, leave him some honest feedback. Does discogs rate the sellers like eBay?

Send the seller an email first, he might just have f***ed up. Explain that you paid for an unopened new copy, which is not what was received.

Good luck!

I sent him a message and showed him this photo, about 5 hours later he answered and said he was sorry, and that he made a mistake. And he gave me a full refund back (including the shipping cost). So, I guess that is ok...

I've gotten stuff from him, and NEVER had a problem like this. wow. This is a BIG mistake if that's what he called it. Discogs has been with me since the early 2010s I found an album on CD that had gone out of print in major stores and made me vert happy!

Have to put our beloved Jack Russel down later today. Had to come home from work early because I had a breakdown about it. She turned 16 just two weeks ago and took a bad turn on Saturday. I've always been attached to my pets, but this one is different.

You can clean that! Soft cloth and white vinegar!

I've had this a few times.

Today I found out (thru rumors only, so not sure yet if its true, but it probably is), that I will probably get fired from my job in 2 weeks.

Backstory:

I have had some problems with a idiot at work for many months now, he have been talking lies about me behind my back to the bosses, and he have attacked me (pushed me), and he have screamed at me, called me stuff, and he have threaten that he is gonna "f**k me up". And he have done so much more...

I have talked to the bosses multiple times, and told them everything, and what is going on. And they said that everything would be good soon, and that he would be moved away from my working place, they said it last time yesterday. But today I found out that me and another guy (a guy that I also work together with, we work well together) will be moved instead of him! He got permanent employment, so they can't fired him so easy, so they will probably just move him to another place, but I will probably get fired, because I only work 50%... And he is also the guy that told this to me, he was talking to one of our bosses, and she told him...

I will probably lose my home now, because I have no money....

That guy sounds like a total bastard. Isn’t there anything you can do legally about his bullying?

Don’t panic yet in regards to that rumour.
