I was big into model airplanes and rockets in the 60's. I had this model plane.

...annnnnnnd it's lost in the woods, or on your neighbor's roof.

When my kid was younger, we did the rocket kit with baking soda and vinegar that starts at 1:05 here. Worked pretty well....and environmentally friendly.

HotWheels, of course, came out in 1968, and this was my first. wwPYN9e.jpgA Blue 'Silhouette' show car. UKKtpIZ.jpgThe Batmobile from the 'Batman Vs. Superman' movie, so I still collect certain HotWheels.

6KFESrt.jpgJust got this from my first niece for X-mas!

sRWg4po.jpgMe and my first 'plushie' this is my Panda, which I still have. alittle worse for wear, but still with it's little blanket.

fLSEtFY.jpgMonster Bubble bath 'SOAKY'. I also had the 'Fuzzy Wuzzy' soap that 'grew hair' and had a toy in it when you used the soap up.

1LAyoXx.jpgOne of my first models I built myself from the box. amd after we'd moved from Ypsi to Saline. my first model was by a company in Michigan called PYRO eqM1gqa.jpgThese models came with substitute Chromed parts, I.e. bumpers etc. Dad bought me a few of these because they were inexpensive at the time, mid '60s.

I always preferred the models made of metal instead of plastic. Just felt more substantial like you were making a real car.

Then I enjoyed crashing them together to see which would hold up. Apparently I had a little destructive streak

I had an Uncle, my Mom's brother that was a Funeral Director in southern Indiana, Washington D. C. [Davis County, lol] who used to build all the ambulance and Hearse models from back then...and one time when we went down to visit him he and I smashed almost all of them to bits one night... used to have a destructive edge to my own models in my early years... I smashed my first "Boot Hill Express" one day when I got mad for some reason...1968 summer

Yup. Had one as soon as they came out, and a year or so later, got a FRIGHT FACTORY too. Still have one of the THINGMAKERS and all the molds. Plastigoop is still made, and I can still do all the cool stuff I used to!

outlawed, but still tons of fun (not for hitting the target, but making your friends scatter).

or better, less dangerous memories....

There was a five and dime store in the town where my mom grew up where I used to get those plastic dinosaurs every time we visited. I loved those things. And rabbits feet for a good luck charm. We had a set of the Jarts too.

Ohmygod pre-ET!

And what’s he doing with those fuzzy-wuzzy hands of his?

And I sure hope that’s a teddy bear...

They came in three different shapes if I remember right. I think this is supposed to be a monkey.

The old school version of a chia pet. I'd hate to know what kind of evil chemicals where in those fuzzy wuzzies.

Guys that shot both of those videos need to learn how to follow the subjects, and do it so the watcher can see what the video maker sees WELL.I remember the Cox planes and the Estes Rockets, had a class in 7th grade where we built and flew the Estes rockets. I had a WAC Corporal rocket, and it flew well...never owned or flew a Cox aircraft.
