Or "Exit Stage Left" instead?

What if Alex decided to copy cat the great Steve Hackett in a few years?

Geddy is happy retired. You saw the Dan Rather interview. Grandpa Geddy. Adios.

What if Alex decided to tour North America Only in 2020?

Sorry to all of my friends who I have met over the years from overseas. But I met a lot of you. You all blow me away and you always traveled for RUSH.

Would you travel to North America to see Alex cover all RUSH tracks? Even some solo shit?

Alex would travel with a drummer, a bass player and a keyboard player.

Who would Alex pick?

Of course if Alex did this the angry mechanic Neil would sue! LOL!

Geddy wouldn't give a shit because he would be working on his second Favorite Headache.

I'm going with

Alex Lifeson guitars, bass pedals and microphone buffoonery.

Bass and bass pedals: Stu Hamm

Drums and cymbal tree: Gavin Harrison

Keys and Synthesizers: Kevin Moore

If Alex were to tour without Geddy then I’d like it done in collaboration with Rik Emmett in those low key bar performances that Rik’s been doing with Dave Dunlop. I’d be fine with just the three of them on a small stage. Or no Dunlop is fine too. A little bit of talking from both Alex and Rik would be cool too. “Chill” being the key word in these particular gigs.

Emmett can still sing certain Triumph songs well. I wouldn’t want any Rush tunes performed though.

I'm going front row bitches.

Times 2112

That is 6 times if you do addition.

   Thank you, Earl! I was having a bad day until I read your threads- they are the best!

And if Alex or any form of Dirxst tours, I'm going at least twice!

And hopefully they would have what they were selling at the Chicago (band not city) concert we went to in November. Along with the authorized t- shirts- a big sign- "Meet band members after the show for $ 100.00." Of course, because it is central PA and people here are pragmatic- I walked by and could hear- " How MANY band members will I see for $100 ?? And how long does it take? I have to work tomorrow . ." :eh:

There's no way Geddy would let this happen without participating too.

Give it a year or two, Dirxst will be on the road again...

Yep! I think you are correct!!!

I just wrote this silly thread for shits and giggles!!

Glad I was able to make blueschica happy!

You’ve probably seen this already but what the hell, here goes again:

[Rik & Dave Dunlop as I mentioned in my first post]

This is more than passable. It’s good. Alex on that kind of stage with those two (or just him & Rik) could work.

Just Alex & Geddy on that kind of stage could work too.

I have no doubt that you WILL interview or talk to Alex at some point in the next few years. Mark my words and refer back to this thread when it happens.

:blaze:

YEah, the good thing about this business (if I can call it a business when I´m profiting ZERO from it) is that the more interviews you do, the more offers we get. So I´m keeping my hopes up of someday meeting one of the two people in the world who can still call themselves Rush members.
