I'm probably 500 albums behind at this point. That's probably only a slight exaggeration.

I know me too, I just gave up after a while. I've never heard of an artist who put people off by making too many albums! :smoke:

Most of them are digital too so there's no CD versions of them. And if he ever does make physical copies of them there's gonna be about 3 million of them and no one will be able to afford them!

I just looked at Rateyourmusic. It's says 322 albums. Holy shit.

I've got this youtube channel and I think it's got about 100 albums, and it updates with new ones pretty regularly. The truth is though Buckethead is too prolific even for the youtubers! :16ton:

Frank Zappa is tough to keep track of as well. Not that there's anything new coming out, but just the sheer quantity of recordings (legacy) he's left behind. I really only listen to maybe a half dozen Zappa albums now, after probably hearing more than half of them at some point in my life.

Youtube is great for exploring certain artists, especially if their catalog is so immense you can't imagine collecting them all (or having time to truly enjoy the collection).

How's Buckethead doing health-wise ? ... Is he OK ???

I had no idea he was so prolific .. I've got to give these albums some time and listen

Yeah he's ok, he had some kind of scare after a check up to do with his heart but it's not life threatening at the moment. He just has to watch it a bit.

He is the man and i hope his afib is under control.

He did a stint where he personally burned the cds and drew in sharpie the artwork

He is one of a kind

I cant seem to search on my phone but someone should bump the old bh thread!

Remember the "IN SEARCH OF THE....." where he did all the artwork and wrote a letter on each spine? I have two sets. One of my sets he fuckked up on and wrote 18 twice.

I chose a Pike randomly to check out. It was two tracks, one 10 minutes and the other nearly 20. It was all creepy dissonant noise and seemingly random atonal guitar screeches. Nothing I would ever listen to again unless I was trying to creep out the neighbors, but I kinda love him more for putting out shit like that.

It got me thinking about what's my favorite album by him though. Depending on my mood, it's either Population Override or The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock.

What I did was I rearranged the videos on the Buckethead channel into most popular and worked from there. The two there I posted were in the top 10 and they were both good.
