Lost in Vegas Reaction for Working Man

This was posted last night to Youtube, and suffice it say the guys love the song, particularly the groove.

I'd be very interested to see what they think of the synth era of the mid-late 80's, let alone since then.

playlist! 2 for 2.

The music is so familiar to me that other people's discovery shows how spoiled/jaded I am. It's like rediscovering the greatness along side their reaction...if that makes sense.

That makes perfect sense. I've long ago dismissed the first album, due to personal taste/bias... but listening to that solo along with them - hell yes.

Yes it makes perfect sense. It’s a lot of fun to watch people enjoy something I love so much and reminds me of the first time I listened to these songs and makes me readjust my bias for/against certain songs.

These guys are a like nostalgia machine for me. It's so cool to see them get turned on about the same stuff that I would get turned on about when discovering a new song for the first time.

Good to see that they chose the real Rush as a first impression

Cause choosing the fake Rush would have been counterproductive. ;)

You could argue the first album was the fake Rush... the Rush that lures you into listening to songs about black holes and dystopic future states.

It would seem that Lost in Vegas reacting to Rush songs are going to be our most anticipated Rush related events here on TRF from now on.

I think you're right. Hell, I even anticipate this guy's videos...

I think they would enjoy Subdivisions for the message and solid/dark groove. IMO that's an example of Rush's ability to take very heady topics and have you tap your foot/air drum/air guitar to it.

I'm a bit miffed their first reaction for a Rush song with lyrics would be Working Man, probably the most mundane of Rush's known tracks.
