Rod in Toronto
R.I.P. I saw them in 2014 and he looked quite frail already. He only played on the slower songs, played the tambourine in a song or two, and sang Priest´s Living After Midnight at the encore. What his colleagues did for him - keep him as a writing partner and bringing him on tour to play to the extent that he could - was quite impressive. My compliments to Billy, Eric and Paul for being so kind to him, and to Matt Start for standing in and respecting his legacy. Hey P-D, glad to see you here...didn´t I send you a message about an interview I´ll do next week?
Presto-digitation
I just see I have that message. (I often check the site on my phone and so I have to look for messages and I don’t get many). Will holler back...
Lucas
Oh shit, that is awful ... Sixty four is way too young In looking over his bio, I never realized that he played with Belinda Carlisle in 1985 when she opened for Robert Palmer .. I saw that tour at RCMH and both acts were really really good - a great show .. RIP Pat, you rocked Edited February 9, 2018 by Lucas
RUSHHEAD666
Complications from Parkinson’s. RIP This is fuckking crazy!! I was never a big Mr. Big fan but man I saw them four times open up for RUSH!He was a fantastic drummer. RIP! I actually met Eric Martin a few times in my life thanks to being friends wit Y&T. Terrible. This is really weird. A few weeks ago I was at my local record store and I found two rare live Mr. Big Japanese cd pressings. Signed by the band. Of course I bought them. Wow! Rod in Toronto
Earl, how were your interactions with Eric? I heard he's a great guy, but he and Billy Sheehan couldn't work together for the longest time, until apparently they found a way to work when Mr. Big reunited. But with Pat now deceased, it seems they won't carry on with the band.
