Just found out that I can install the belt harness AFTER installation to the cockpit part the seat is attached to. going to put off the seat harness until the cockpit is finished. Going to study the instruction sheet some more. gonna let the seat dry tonight. Pics go on.
ORFie, (and anyone else), I thought you might enjoy this newspaper article about a neighborhood dad and good friend. I was lucky enough to grow up a few blocks from Mr. Crouse and family. He made models for years; mostly ships and ships in bottles. My dad has a beautiful "tall ship" clipper ship in a bottle that took ages to make! Sadly, Dave passed away a year after this article was written, but his ships are still around to spur great memories! The one article photo of drawings and notes reminded me of your directions for your complicated models!http://triblive.com/...use-model-ships
Neat article, bc! I've been made aware of another person who does modelling, and that person went Hog-wild with the modelling. cars, planes ships mostly plastic models, but not all..

Well, I got tired of waiting, and went ahead and painter the sucker. immpatient, aren't I? didn't mess up though...

Wdm8GXW.jpgYou see the 'colorful' part right? Not quite in sharp focus, but you get the idea!

The color is vermillion, according to Vallejo paints...and aluminum and flat black.

What do you do to get parts to come apart if they've been glued incorrectly?

In the past, I always chech immediately after gluing the part together, and reglue it correctly. I'm to much of a perfectionist to settle for less...

I think you need to pay greater attention to detail.

Awesome work buddy. I think your patience is extraordinarily.

Painting again today... I realize that I understand pointed brushes as far as detail work goes in painting....it makes it much easier, and NEAT. an education on what to buy and why after all these years...

Both engines, nearly finished. and both armor plates for the engines. These have to be added, and the radiators, and then I can move on to the flight deck/cockpit.

BPLFoKz.jpg

nysc8yS.jpgThese armor plates are to protect the engines from frontal attack.
