Last night, I watched the

, and was really surprised to see Geddy triggering some flourishes in Lakeside Park of all places (sounds I've never heard in the song before).

I was really surprised b/c I'd always had it in my head that it wasn't really until the "A Farewell to Kings" era that they started toying around with pedals and triggers, let alone having added them earlier into a song like Lakeside Park that never had them to begin with usually.

Anyone else have any thoughts/feedback on this? Was really kind of a revelation for me.

Here's

Good catch! I had never noticed that even though I've watched this concert a lot.

Interesting to see/hear.

Just wanted to say, I'm in Pittsburgh, too!

:hi: I grew up in Pittsburgh and lived there for many years and I live near Harrisburg now. However, you can take the girl out of Pittsburgh but you can't take the Pittsburgh out of the girl!

One of the things about Rush is that even the earlier songs - which were a bit more raw - still had all this room for introducing and adding newer things as time went by .. and the impact was even stronger

Neil adding the tubular bells to Something For Nothing later on was subtle but it was just so Rush ..

All of those early songs had the great bones, and they built off them as time went by
