HemiBeers
Dem Packers are in a world of hurt! A truly dismal defense is getting outplayed, out-coached and downright embarassed. A directionless offense is being led by a slightly aloof backup QB who is obviously not ready for prime time. Playoffs? Did you say playoffs? I just hope we can win a game!! yeah it's so bad it almost takes the fun out of gloating...almost ;) yeah hundley is not a pro QB but that defense is a dumpster fire. Tinwoodsman
They'll be back. GB always reloads! I love watching frozen tundra football. It reminds me of the good old days of grass fields in the CFL.

Nelson and Cobb are making 20 million per year combined. Morgan Burnett and a few linemen are also free agents. I’m betting on the Packers to draft a stud WR in the first 1-3 rounds as well as a pass rushing D-lineman, as their pass rush has been a farce. The defense is in horrible shape. HemiBeers
they might want to think about drafting rodgers eventual replacement. 13 screws in his throwing shoulder...13! his arm might never get over that.

His non throwing shoulder was injured ... but before going back on IR, he WAS hit 13 times and sacked thrice in the first game back from the original injury in Minnesota. It's not easy to protect a qb who runs out of the pocket and is willing to take a hit to make a completion. A healthy OL and a running game will go a long ways to help him. That may be a ways off ... but don't expect a change in his playing style.

Then again, we ARE dealing with an organization that can't even come up with a reasonable definition of a simple thing like a catch, so anything could happen. NFL teams routinely dump players on IR for not-so-valid reasons. A few crybaby teams are not going to make this an issue. Also, when the NFL Front Office is notified of a player being designated to IR, it either accepts it or denies it that very day. The NFL Front Office accepted the Packers' designation for Rodgers, so it's a done deal. Edited December 25, 2017 by Principled Man

The IR rule is a stupid one so it not being followed is appropriate.

If they're on the 53 man roster, suit em up. Edited December 25, 2017 by HemiBeers
