The 2017-18 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thread

Recommended Posts

Well I am going to approach Sundays match against NO as a do or die situation. The band wagon is empty as almost all have wrote off the season after last weeks pathetic loss to CAR. The only glimmer of hope I cling to is this time last year this team was 3-5 and found a way to propel themselves to a 9-7 season. Which proved once again that the outlook may not be the outcome.

GO BUCS!! :madra:

Today (for me) was the final nail in the coffin for the 2017-18 season! I am toatly disgusted with the product known as the Buccaneers! I have put all my remaining home game tickets up to sale! I know they will sell to out of town fans! I will never give up rooting for my Bucs but my financial support is on intensive care life support!!! For all the hype of glory this season was supposed to be, this squad is moving backwards in a crash & burn fashion! I will never never bet against them but I do not see me sacrificing hard earned $$$ to be a financial supporter of the present regime. As far as I'm concerned heads need to roll!...

Can't even say g_ b__s :boohoo:

I like Dirk but he’s allowed this fake “leadership” culture to develop where the players give speeches and pat each other on the back while not executing their basic job on the field. If you aren’t executing, pride should tell you to keep your mouth shut and work harder not give more speeches and repeat the same tired cliches every week at the news conference.

Look out for the SAINTS coming to Tampa in week 17! :givebeer:

Will not be there! I will listen to the games on the radio on my boat while I am fishing enjoying the beauty of the "real" Tampa Bay...

So my tickets never sold, imagine that  I was not the best weather for boating and I was not going to just waste the tickets. No one in my family wanted to go. I called my oldest daughter to see if I could take my Granddaughter n

but she was with her biological father person (long story) and trying to plan things with him always ends up, well lets just say stressful. So I called up my best buddy and he was excited to go and so we did. It was nice to see the Bucs could and can still win a game even if it was butt ugly buc ball :D Also good to see the defense playing as a unit again. Funny thing for me was when I was checking on the scores I realized I forgot to make my Sunday picks for the confidence pool  Still over all had a great time enjoying live NFL football with a long time friend. Up next Miami 1 of a 3 game road trip.

Go Bucs :madra:

So the Bucs squeek out another win against a lowly Dolphins team. Koetter happy his team is 2-0 for the 2nd 1/2 of the season. Winston out another week due to shoulder but I believe it's more about the recent alleged groping of a female Uber driver some 20 months ago. It makes sense if you do not want your QB to answer questions and create a huge distraction. Keep him off the field so no press conference to invite the inevitable flood of querry's. I like Jamis but I do think his decision making skills (on & off) the field put him in the "box of hammers" mentally. Then again bad decision making is kinda what men in their early 20's do best

Up next a real chaenge as Tampa travels to Atlanta :scared:

Go Bucs!:madra:

At least you'll have a pleasing listen, Gene Deckerhoff calls a good game. Unlike that sorry mess of Jimmy Cefalo, Joe Rose and "Bob Greasy spoon" that I get on the 'Fins radio net.

Ugh!

Ranks right up there with the Ugliest of Uglies! For both teams!!

Yes it did and still does! The thing that really surprised me was hearing the Boo Birds at Lambeau! I believe that is a very rare event up there...

The booing has become a topic of discussion in Packer Land. Booing is just as much a part of the game as cheering. If the team is stinking up the field, the fans are gonna BOO. The Packers don't have any immunity from it. Fans are going to show their displeasure or anger when the team is blowing a game.

I think many (younger) Packer fans have become so spoiled by the last 20 years of good times that they can't relate to older fans, who have lived through the Bad Times. Losing a game won't bring the boos, but playing like shit WILL bring the boos.....and the Packers have been playing like shit.

I agree wholeheartedly! I hear and have participated in the Booing  We Bucs fans usually get enough to Boo about. It just seemed to me it was way less frequent in Lambeau. But then again I have never been to a Packers home game.

Well after another loss my Bucs are assured a 7th round draft pick next season. At this point I believe the highest we could go will be 5th if the ole Bucco's lose out and possibly a 4th round pick with some help from other losers  It is sad with all the high expectations there was at the beginning of the year us die hard fans are reduced to thinking about draft picks in December. Oh well it is what it is and there's always next year  :D

Go Bucs :madra:

Rumor Speculating and almost all but confirmed Dirk Koetter will remain head coach of the Bucs for his 3rd season. I can't say I am happy or sad if this is true. I am certainly a believer that continuity is a good thing, however if the continuity is sub-par than it is all for not anyway. I do believe there is a BIG change brewing. The confusing thing is what or which of the consistent breakdowns were enough to doom this season which a lot (including self) bought into as being a breakout year. It seems there were so many "flukes" it is too hard to single just one out as the main "weak link". Eg; Predictable game planning? lack of excecution? Too many "super Star" personalities in the locker room? wrong free agent acquisitions? weak training camp? Hard Knocks? Hurricane Irma? Just plain good old fashioned dumb Bucs luck? Who can say? only time will tell...

I think they deserve one more go. Hopefully, they will learn from their mistakes and have less injuries next season.
