goose
What was the best dish served by/to you at this year's Thanksgiving celebration (US, Canadian, or other)? For me, it was this surprise: The classic green bean casserole enfolded in a ring of filo dough. It was amazing!
blueschica
My daughter in law's gourmet macaroni and cheese casserole (side dish and main dish for Mr. blues the vegetarian ). It had some kind of mix of different cheeses, and cracker crumbs and bread crumbs on the top. We were all in a food coma afterwards, in a good way!

goose
The traditional: TurkeyStuffingMashed potatoes A close fourth was when no cranberries were spotted anywhere. My friend made a great cranberry chutney that has been killer with leftovers. Don't like the canned stuff, but a relish made with fresh cranberries sure is tasty. Edited November 26, 2017 by goose
Chronos
By me: My hot spinach/artichoke dip appetizer was a hit at this year's gathering. For me: Sister-in-law's appetizer, which was a cracker spread consisting of whitefish, capers, sundried tomatoes, and artichokes. It was a big artichoke year, I guess. Oh, and a big shout-out goes to Youngest Daughter and her asiago potato soup!

Everything you mentioned sounds delicious. Edited November 27, 2017 by Lorraine
Chronos
Thanks! We used Stacy's Pita Chips (stacyssnacks.com), which my local Kroger carries.
Fordgalaxy
Probably a Marie Callender's pecan pie but the brown sugar glazed ham was great too. I know some think it's heresy to have a store bought pie, but it's easier for me and is just as flavorful.
