Mick and Segue are bums

Maybe not a masterpiece, but I'd say severely underrated. Worst offenses on there are Hand Over Fist and Anagram, which are just boring and that's all that's really wrong with the album. The production style fits the songwriting and overall aesthetic they were going for and I find it quite pleasing. Plus is has Available Light, one of the most unjustly overlooked songs in their whole catalogue.

And Mick and Segue are only bums if they don't respond to this thread, lol.

God. I remember buying it the day it came out. Ran to my dorm room. Put it in the cd and rocked out approvingly to Show Don’t Tell...and then sat there speechless as the crap started to ooze out of the CD player. Mostly awful songs. Awful production. Awful album. It still stings a little how much this album disappoints me.

The first major rock album recorded without a bass guitar.

You mean ...And Justice For All? Released a year earlier? :P

Some ambassadors they turned out to be.

We ought to fire them. ;)

But, let's not be too hasty in our condemnation of them. Perhaps the two rascals were out celebrating Presto's anniversary and got too carried away to bother with TRF and album anni threads.

Not a masterpiece. Also sounds like the boys had their testes removed.

Terry Brown took them with him when he left.

Ouch in more than one way.

But a pain that we will never really know. ;)

All this talk about Presto and testes...well, someone decided to put back the testes (it wasn't me).

I like the attempt but the overall execution fails. Seem like an amateur on low rent equipment tried this.

A true masterpiece was released 28 years ago today.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presto_(album)

Love it, love it...I just listened to Presto a couple of weeks ago, for the first time in awhile. One or two weak-ish songs, but overall, such a triumph.

I love the sound of it, all the way around, even if it is thinner than others. It fits, it works. I dig.

It was done by an ex TRFer who got banned.

Maybe it was for the best then.
