oghond2112
I would like someone to clarify this once and for all, because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person hearing this wrong. Is it "wonders OF the world they wrought" or "wonders IN the world they wrought"? I still hear the former, but I think it's the latter.
oghond2112
UPDATE: I heard it again. It's the latter: "wonders IN the world they wrought." Still, I cannot tell you how many times I misheard that as "wonders OF the world."
oghond2112
I also heard "SELF-Expression's wrong" and not "SELFISHNESS WAS wrong."
Disk98
The lyric is indeed “wonders in the world.”

Wil1972
And the line "it was for me not you that I came to write this song" speaks volumes about Neil. I mean, it's a cool line cause a little selfishness is a good thing at times. Which he could now update to, "it was for me not you that I am now retired and finally gone!"
