It was on the Rush Instagram today that this month's cover of PROG mag will feature Rush and the AFTK 40th anniversary-

It's a UK magazine, but hopefully it can still be found in Barnes and Noble maybe? Or you can order single copies from the UK for about $18.50 from this website- (don't ask how I know . . .). http://www.english-m...bscription.aspx

I'm so sad they're done. When I see this I am glad but it's also a reminder—how long til the talk dies down and the band drops out of view?

They will never leave my current playlists, but it's always been nice know that somewhere out there, they are on tour or working on something new.

Just another reminder of the universal mortality I suppose. All good things.

This comment has been made a thousand times before. They aren't done. Worldwide touring yes, but nobody said that they're done with music.

“Geddy and Alex on the making of a masterpiece...Neil wouldn’t return our calls”

 Yeah, I think you're right! It seems like Neil participated in the PROG interviews in the past.

In Neil's mind, it would be like an accountant retiring, and five years afterwards getting a call from a customer wanting him to handle something for them. He has retired from music, so music related "work" is off the table now. Now, if Parenting Magazine called...

Cool. I get this magazine regularly at the book store(I don't subscribe). I'm guessing it will sell out fast the same way anytime they have Steven Wilson/PT or Pink Floyd on the cover. ELP or Yes not so much. Lol.

100% that's exactly what happened, lol

You know, at this point I have a small newfound respect for Neil. When he said he was retiring, he meant it. No ifs ands or buts about it. You can call it stubborn, even selfish, but it's definitely honest and he's sticking to his guns. I hope his family has a wonderful life. :)

Do you think anyone even bothers asking him to contribute to something like this these days?

I've said a bunch of times that I believe Neil was so pissed off about having to do the R40 tour that he wants nothing to do with the band or its legacy right now. Time may soften his view as I can't imagine he'll never do another interview regarding the music that Rush has created.
