Favorite part of the Geddy Lee interview?

Anyone else want to share their favorite part of the Geddy Lee interview? For me, it was him telling the story of his name. I'd heard it many times already, but always love when he tells that story because it's very interesting. Also, the whole story with the fans. Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is why Geddy Lee is one of the nicest men on God's green earth!

(Now I want to meet him... he's so sweet... :))

It's always interesting to watch an interview with him because he is so articulate and good at speaking about himself. The part of the interview that was the most touching to me was near the end, where he talked about growing up as the child of Holocaust survivors and his parents' , especially his mother's, experiences during the war. I know he has spoken of that in the past but not in quite as much detail. His mom is one awesome lady.

Well, and now you know that he meets with his fans when he runs into them!

What was nice to see was the interaction between Dan Rather and Geddy .. Dan is going to be 86 this week, and prior to the interview, he probably wouldn't have been able to tell you the difference between Garden Road and The Garden .. I got the impression that Dan liked Geddy and the vibe between them was great - esp in Ged's baseball memorabilia room ..

I did enjoy the bit from Geddy about the fans from Italy, and how he felt guilty about driving away

Serious, is this what we are talking about now? Favorite parts of a interview? This is so pointless...

Hey, did you hear they're going to release the sound check of the first show of the third leg of the Time Machine Tour in 5.1 Surround.

Got to have it! And at $1000 it's a bargain!!!!

But since 90% of the people here are jerks we probably won't even get to the 200 post mark in the thread....

He probably would have felt more of a sense of relief, and safety, if the fans were from Sweden and not Italy...

With the B side being Lifeson's "speech" at the RRHOF induction ceremony.

Hey there. Black Sabbath makes you think of me? Thats sweet! Which Black Sabbath concert did you see? And It´s all right with me. Working now, so do not have much time left to listen to music, but at least I can buy more records, so that´s something, huh? How about you? How you doing?

There isn't anything new going on with Rush, so what else are some gonna talk about? This is the newest thing from anyone in the band. Of course fans are going to talk about it. Now, I do think the interview has been over analyzied a bit though. It was enjoyable and it was nice to see Geddy talk about the things covered but it's certainly not something a fan needs to go out of their way to see.

Actually, I'm doing really well! A headache medicine prescription was giving me a lot of problems but I finally figured it out and stopped the medicine. I feel so much better, thanks! The Sabbath concert was a movie on our cable tv; it is on Showtime this month if they have that in Sweden! I guess it was a movie they made of the last concert in Birmingham in February. The movie is called The End of The End; it was very good. I'm glad to hear that you are working and can buy more records- it always helps when you can do something fun with your paycheck. Good to hear from you! :)

Yea I have always gotten the feeling that when people hear Rush and then see them in interviews, esp with Ged and Neil, they see guys who don't really fit the mold of typical "rock stars", and I think Rather saw that as well - I think he saw that Rush are not your average celebrities.

On the next Record Store Day, with Ged on one side and Neil reading from his last book on side B.

Good that you fixed the problem with your medicine! I never eat medicine, it just gives more problem then it fix. Doctors these days, think they are experts, but they don´t know a shit!

Ah that one. Yeah, I saw it at the cinema, the one day it was aired. Went straight after work, and it ended late, so I was tired as hell the next day, but it was worth it, it was really good!

Yeah, as you, and probably most on this forum know, vinyl records is my greatest passion!

I was going to write a long, detailed and articulate rebuttal to your post, but I think I'll just call you a cock instead

This thread only had kind heartedness in it until you changed that with your rudeness.
