I take full credit for the Astros' back to back homers. I turned off the TV, and OF COURSE that's what had to happen.....

Well, 5:15 comes pretty early so that's it for me. Go Stros...

It was kind of hilarious that before that last pitch every single person besides Larry King was standing.

I hope it goes seven games, and I wouldn't be upset if Houston took it.

Steve Garvey blames his team's loss on "Millennial Baseball".....

"They're scoring runs but not manufacturing runs....." :eh:

Gotta love the hustle by the Astros' 3B Bregman. Running full speed to get a foul pop-up (just missed!) and then crashing into the front row. :haz:

It seems like when every hitter strikes out, he stares at the pitcher while walking back to his dugout. This happens in the regular season, too.

Is he expecting some trash-talk or a bad look from the pitcher?

So apparently Yuli Gurriel made a racist gesture last night after homering off Yu Darvish. I didn't see it but some are saying he should be suspended. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

He did the classic "stretching the corners of the eyes" maneuver. Maybe he should be made to wear a Fidel Castro wig and mask for a few days......

Thanks, that's what was implied by what I read (obviously I didn't dig all that deeply...)

I saw a show last winter on Cuban baseball and it indicated that the Gurriels (I can't remember how many brothers there were or whether he was the oldest) were fairly loyal to the regime and it was considered quite the blow to the regime when Yuli left, even at a fairly advanced age. So who knows, he might be honored by that punishment.

For the longest time I heard that Castro had a tryout with the Senators (or was it the Pirates?) and that the course of history would have been changed if one of those teams would have signed him. But that special made clear that his talent was far below the level at which a signing would have been possible.

I do know that if they would make him dress as Castro he'd have to hit the ball out of the park to get to first base just from running in those clown boots. Of course, before his untimely (as in 40 years too late) demise, he had taken to wearing Nike jumpsuits....the Astros' 70s uniforms would be less embarrassing attire.

Gurriel will play tonight, be suspended 5 games in 2018.

It's good to see that MLB has its priorities straight!

Suspension was totally unnecessary. It will be handled by the Dodgers at a time of their choosing. HBP justice will be served...
