when you've done the math to see how old you would be if you lived until the year 2112 ... I'd be 146

111, hoping medicine will progress enough as to live, at least, one second. First thought in the morning.

When you make your father almost crash the car because u saw a 2112 and yelled.

114! We can do this. :D

When you buy a turntable so you can collect Rush on vinyl.

When you buy a collector's tin with 2 Rush card decks.

GREAT IDEA!

You know you're a Rush fan when...

1. You've memorized Alex's, Geddy's, and Neil's birthdays, but don't even know your own friends/familys birthdays.

2. You get excited over soup.

3. You know what a shrimp cot is.

4. You frequently quote Rush lyrics/songs

5. You think jazz is weird.

6. You mention Rush at least 15 times day.

7. You always want to kick someone's ass if they make fun of Geddy in ANY way.

8. You want to have an airplane made out of beef.

9. You wish the alphabet ended not in only "y, z" but "y, y, z."

10. You smiled, laughed, and shook your head yes to every one of these.

kickin' an old thread here but, what's the shrimp cot?

1. When you get overly excited when someone offers you "two soups"

2. You accurately remember every line in every pre show video

3. You remember the last time every song was played live off the top of your head

4. You tap the rhythm of YYZ whenever possible

5.when you nock on a door, you play the YYZ morse code

6. You need any old bass, but you buy the fancy American Geddy signature bass because Rush

You know you're a RUSH fan when:

1: You know every single RUSH studio album in order of release (which I do: Rush, Fly By Night, Caress of Steel, 2112, A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire, Presto, Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Test for Echo, Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows, and Clockwork Angels- and no, I did not cheat!)

2: You wrote an entire musical based around their music.

3: You cannot wait for December 21 and write the date the British way on that day only just so it can be 21/12

4: You hold a celebration to RUSH starting on December 21st at 9:12 PM (21:12 on 21/12)

5: You have memorized the lyrics to over 10 RUSH songs

6: You try to sound like Geddy Lee whenever you sing a RUSH song

I like #4, that required some scientific (or military) thinking! Maybe I will celebrate this year ! :hail:

When you are forced to go to Wal-Mart for emergency items and as you walk through the door the first thing that pops into your mind is "Though the void to be destroyed..."

You know you're a Rush fan when your friend is reading you her diary and she tells you to pick a random date and you pick January 7, 2020 and the diary entry is funny but you don't laugh. Edited by Flavia2112

You set your name on Zoom to the YYZ Morse code, then make your friend look up the song when she asks you what it says.

(true story--she stopped it after the Morse code part and I was shocked.)
