Missed the prior round, and sad to see Sean Penn isn't among the final 30. I think he's the greatest actor working today.

Getting it to 10 was relatively easy for me, but then painful to cut another three. Well, here's my 7 (alpha by first name):

Anthony Hopkins

Dustin Hoffman

Gary Oldman

Gene Hackman

Jack Nicholson

Robert DeNiro

Tom Hanks

Just in the first few hours of this thread but some big guns are noticeably without any votes

Aye!

Everyone's on the board now...unless the 'ol switcheroo vote swapping happens like in round 1

Big Trouble in Little China was just on here. This is the one where Kurt does his John Wayne thing...

Kurt knows how to do cheese!

Fun, dumb movie

Aye!

Snake Plisken is NOT CHEESE! Watching "The Thing" special features tonight.

Ridiculous.

Russell RULES!

Big Trouble In Little Vagina? Yes, Cheese!

Not a big fan

Are you kidding?!

Snake Plissken is the epitomy of cheese. In fact, in the dictionary, under cheese, it has a picture of Snake Plissken, and only THEN an actual picture of cheese.

snake-plissken.jpg?quality=100&w=650&h=400

then

http://kitchenscoop.com/images/uploads/cheese-assorted-lrg.jpg

Doesn't make him any less awesome.

Not that I voted for Kurt.

But I can appreciate his body of work for what it is...or just his body, yeah, that's ok too. ;)

DeNiro's Cady was over the top. From his overly tattooed looks on up. He was obvious bad guy.

Mitchum's was just right. Subtly menacing but able to blend in with the crowd.

John Carpenter originally wanted Snake's surname to be "Cheesken" but Kurt gave him that exact look in the pic above.

Kurt then slowly whispered, "The name's Plisken."

John replied, "Oh man yeah! That's good stuff Kurt!"

Still looking like in the pic above, he whispered again but more gruffly, "It's Plisken."

And the rest is cheesestory.

Well, neither, really.

But of the two, if I should (meet one or the other in a dark alley), I'd immediately be scared of DeNiro's Cady.

It would take a minute to realize I should be terrified of Mitchum's Cady.

Subtle is the name, Mitchum is the game.

Tom Hanks

At this point it's all leveled out for talent. Not one here is overrated. Gonna come down to how many movies I loved from each actor. I already know my winner! :D-13:

INPO:

Keitel

Nicholson

DeNiro

Pacino

Eastwood

Price

Lee

Btw JB, actresses to follow this one?

Surely not. It has to happen! Have you got your winner yet Mr Duck? I might change my mind again, doubtful though :AlienSmiley:

Oh, it'll start off that way for sure...but with a little judicious proctoring I think it could probably be kept on the right track.

That was a reference to a previous Body Double post.

As far as modern actresses go, I'm with Julianne Moore.
