Principled Man
2017 Green Bay Packers Season, Week 4: Packers 35Bears 14 Clay Matthews leaves the field in jubilation after the Packers' 35-14 pummeling of their arch-rival Bears. In a history-making game, the Packers did what many Bear fans said would never happen - have more wins! The Packers now own the ancient series, 95-94-6 The Packers jumped on da Bears from the get-go, with a long touchdown drive and taking the ball away from the Bear offense, which led to another TD. That's when the game got UGLY. Players were falling left and right to injuries, the officiating crew was throwing flags left and right, and a lightning storm delayed play for almost an hour. The worst part was when the Packers' Davante Adams suffered a brutally unnecessary hit from a Bear linebacker, which popped out his mouthpiece and left him knocked out on the ground. Taken to a nearby hospital, Adams is reportedly doing well, with movement in all extremities. A good sign for him and the Packers, as the team will need him back ASAP. A long week to prepare for the next opponent - the hated Dallas Cowboys..... :bang bang:

liquidcrystalcompass
The injuries are stacking up. And even worse are the cluster injuries. I haven't had much time to keep up but are any of your offensive linemen out for the season?

One or two may be brought back off the IR list in a few weeks.Starting LT David Bakhtiari is very close to returning from a hamstring injuryStarting RT Bryan Bulaga aggravated his ankle injury against the Bengals. Principled Man
2017 Green Bay Packers Season, Week 5: Packers 35Cowboys 31 Davante Adams, you are cleared to play, and you are also cleared to BEAT those Cowboys!! In yet another thrilling, stupendous, fantastic finish in Arlington, Adams and his quarterback played catch to the delight of their teammates and all of Packer Nation. Down 21-6 in the first half, the Packers didn't flinch. They did the unthinkable; they relied on a strong running game and rookie RB Aaron Jones. They also did the predictable; they relied on Aaron Rodgers and his receivers to make plays, drive down the field, and SCORE. Both defenses were gassed from the slugfest. Big plays made, big plays given up, and one crucial pick-6 by the Packers helped the Packers immensely. The Cowboys also did the unthinkable. Once again, they allowed Aaron Rodgers and his offense too much time at the end of the 4th quarter. Once again, they simply could not stop him. http://prod.images.packers.clubs.nflcdn.com/image-web/NFL/CDA/data/deployed/prod/PACKERS/assets/images/imported/GB/photos/clubimages/2017/10-October/temp171008-packers-cowboys-2-siegle-23--nfl_mezz_1280_1024.jpg?width=960&height=720 http://prod.images.packers.clubs.nflcdn.com/image-web/NFL/CDA/data/deployed/prod/PACKERS/assets/images/imported/GB/photos/clubimages/2017/10-October/temp171008-packers-cowboys-2-siegle-87--nfl_mezz_1280_1024.jpg?width=960&height=720 http://prod.images.packers.clubs.nflcdn.com/image-web/NFL/CDA/data/deployed/prod/PACKERS/assets/images/imported/GB/photos/clubimages/2017/10-October/temp171008-packers-cowboys-2-siegle-91--nfl_mezz_1280_1024.jpg?width=960&height=720

edhunter
I think the Packers will make it past the Skins but after that they should be toast. There were games this season where they didn't play any better than the Bears. They lost all three home division games........an amazing, incredible, and outrageous feat! I don't see them beating the Redskins. Their offense is too dysfunctional. Their defense is pretty good, but they have to score points on offense. Gotta reload, get Jordy Nelson back, and have their offensive linemen heal up. Next year should be much better. :sundog:It looked like backyard football there toward the end. Reminded me of the classic Cosby routine... "You go long...".
laughedatbytime
Condolences to all the Packers fans out there. Tough break, and a sad day for viewers who enjoy exciting, well played football. Huntley might be able to hold the fort a bit but from what I've heard Rodgers may be done for the year. If so, things got several orders of magnitude harder for the Pack... They started today without three starting d-backs. You can't do anything when you're grabbing guys off the streets and putting jerseys on 'em..... "Tough break" Pun intended. As an owner of the Packers stock and the fact that the entire Packers team stands for the National Anthem I was hoping for a Title. Horrible. Love Rogers when he was at CAL. FUCKK THE NFL! Glad the Raiders are showing their true colors after the entire O Line sat on their fat asses. FUCKK THE RAIDERS! The No Fun League is simply PARODY! I can only hope the Patriots don't win it again. That's my only hope...... "Give Em Enough Rope" Signed, THE CLASH

Principled Man
Maybe they'll sign Kaepernick. They're going with Hundley...for now... The Packers won't be signing any free agent QB. They've invested in Brett Hundley and Joe Callahan. They're not going to waste salary cap money on any out-of-work QB who will need several weeks to get in synch with the offense. He's been a pain in the ass for the Cowboys but I have nothing but respect for him as a player. Secondly, I agree with you about the Packers going with what they have on their roster. And if your season goes down the tubes, look at the bright side, you'll be higher in the draft order.

That would place them around the 15th pick. Best case scenario is duplicating 2013, when Rodgers came back for Week17 and won the Division. :laughing guy:
Syrinx
Another Cowboys fan here with sympathy for Packers fans. Rodgers is great! I hate what he does to my team but have to admire how he does it. You never know what happens when your QB breaks a collar bone. You might find your Dak Prescott! I still remember vividly the game against Dallas where Favre went out with an injury and Rodgers came in and almost won the game.

Rodgers is having surgery this week, but we still don't have any details on the injury. I don't think they're gonna divulge anything. Will he be back this year? Only the future knows! Brett Hundley looked extremely good in his first pre-season. He was injured all of last year's pre-season, and he was so-so this year. He has the ability to win some games, but with so many of his teammates being injured, I think his chances of success are slim.
treeduck
Ok Packers fans I'm not going to gloat, after all you didn't have Rodgers you only had Larry Fishburne Jr. at QB. Principled Man
Dem Packers are in a world of hurt! A truly dismal defense is getting outplayed, out-coached and downright embarassed. A directionless offense is being led by a slightly aloof backup QB who is obviously not ready for prime time. Playoffs? Did you say playoffs? I just hope we can win a game!!
