Fun, astute reviews. This guy has reviewed quite a few other prog band discographies (Yes, ELP, Jethro Tull, etc.) and he's just now getting around to Rush. Will post updates in this thread intermittently. :)

I've watched some of his youtube reviews, especially when I was getting into Gentle Giant. He certainly seems to know his stuff (and it's interesting listening to a younger person discuss these old albums). I'll need to keep up with these.

Checking out some of his Giant reviews right now, thanks! Looks like he's reviewed all of Kate Bush's recordings too.

Sounds like he's a musician, or at least knows musical terminology ("hocketing" - nicely done!). He's obviously spent time listening to this music, and cool that he "sings" some of the parts to draw attention to them.

Dunno about the Rush reviews, but the 2 GG ones that I've heard are nicely done.

Nice to hear John Rutsey getting some musical respect. :ebert:

Wouldn't happen to be you, would it?

JARG never talks about himsel in the third person. JARG thinks doing so is the height of pomposity.

This guy sounds like a prog poser to me! 777?

I should leave the Rush Forum forever and start my own blog about RUSH ALBUMS!

Rickey Henderson is my all time favorite ball player until I die.

Loves to speak in the third person.

I love him dearly.

I was lucky enough to meet him once in my life. Great human man.

Blessed

I just met Khalil Mack tonight in Walnut Creek.

Another humble gentleman.

I just tapped him on the back and whispered..... "Just Win Baby." He smiled and seem concerned. KC on Thursday night. Oh shit. I just hijacked again.

It's ok.

People on here love to ignore me.

Bye

The boy doing the reviews is charming and enthusiastic. I'd like it he could learn not to repeat himself so much. The review of the debut album went on much longer than it needed to, imo.

Yeah, I like that too. Sometimes, I can't remember the song/section he's talking about, but then he goes into one of his "singing" bits, and I'm like, "Oh yeah, that one."

I also like how he gives a lot of attention to every single track. I've never thought of Tull's Far Alaska as a particularly noteworthy tune, but I think I actually appreciate it a little more after hearing this guy talk so enthusiastically about it.

Fly by Night is up!

Thanks!

Good observations on Peart's drumming.

Aynus Rand summed up perfectly: "the individual...marching forth..."

Love the enthusiasm and positivity, although tiny edits would tighten things up a bit.

I won't assume that this is you...yet. :P
