Make sure that you have anything you want to keep backed up before you do this because it will wipe everything. Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset and then tap Reset device. One other step I'd suggest is to fill the device's memory up with music or podcasts or whatever after resetting it and then reset it again. That way you overwrite what was on there that was yours.
