Texas King
These two tunes have a little bit similar moments. What's your choice here?

apetersvt
Some of these polls are getting ridiculous. Maybe we should start one asking if 2112 is better than some Miley Cyrus song.
HemiBeers
you could probably dig up another 100 rock songs with the similar 3 chord progression. yes rush was musically influenced (as well as chemically influenced at times) and 'borrowed' from other bands. They even self-plagiarized at times. The beginning riffs of In the mood and I think I'm going bald are very similar. rock...at it's core...it pretty simple musically so it's easy to 'think' you wrote something original but it turns out you may have replicated another song from your memory. Hatchetaxe&saw
Good God, there's a curveball, to the point where it makes no sense. Sweet Jane, by miles. SJ is one of the greatest moments in rock n roll.
Tinwoodsman
Sweet Jane is a fantastic Jam session and actually has a subtle B minor in the DAG progression. ITM and Going Bald are similar to each other and the intros are fun to play too. Edited September 3, 2017 by Tinwoodsman
