Well there's not much point in you being here is there, except to be a nuisance which you obviously enjoy being.

I'm right handed.

But I aim with my left eye.

And I can play pool left handed for some shots. So instead of doing the cool behind-the-back cue shot (which I never mastered), I just switch hands.

Left-handed, though I do some things right-handed out of necessity. It's a right-handers world.

Yeah like scissors.

Yes. Righties don't understand.

Aye, right-handed scissors, ie 99% of scissors, don't work in the left-hand.

You need someplace like this.

My best friend is a lefty. When we were kids I got her a pin that said 'Hire the Left-Handed, It's Fun To Watch Them Write!' I thought it was funny, her, not so much.

I do that too. Any game that requires some sort of bat or ratchet I can do the same.

Write left, eat left, use utensils left, throw right, play stringed instruments right.

Mostly left, but I'd call myself cross dominant which is not the same as ambidextrous.

What's the difference?

Ambidextrous by definition is when you can use the right and left hands equally as well. I can play a right handed bass...but I sure can't play a left handed one. That ain't ambidextrous by definition now is it?

I'm left handed for writing, drawing and typing on my tab or phone, but right handed for everything else!

I am right handed but have a daughter that is a leftie that does all kinds of craft things and she is always running into that. The latest is a calligraphy class and trying not to drag her arm across the wet ink; the teacher wasn't too helpful!

When she was little and wanted to learn how to write her name she had fun using her left hand but when she put letters together she did mirror writing. :wtf: The letters were backwards and the order also. It was the strangest thing! We thought she would grow up to be the Unabomber or something until a friend of mine that's a teacher told me it was fairly common. I got a lot of notes signed , EVOL, EM. (except the letters were backwards.). She eventually grew out of it in kindergarten. I still find left handedness intriguing!

What game do you play with a ratchet? :smoke:

I am cross-dominant, which means that my left hand is dominant for some tasks, and my right hand for others. Ambidextrous would involve being equally good at the same task with both hands, which I am far from.

For simplicity I identify as right handed, purely based on the fact that I write using that hand. I recall being actively discouraged from doing things left-handed at school though, so I consider any right-handedness to be learned and not instinctive.

I remember at school we had red scissors for righties and green/yellow scissor for lefties

Yeah? I've not used a left-handed pair yet. I'm using right-handed ones in my right hand by now it would probably be weird.

Steve Morse is left-handed but he plays right-handed. Imagine how good he'd be if he decided to play with his left! :o
