.....and thus, it begins. Insofar as Neil is no more than one year away from the "Dad, you're embarrassing me" phase of his daughter's life,

I'll renew my bet that we are no more than 2 years away from the next Rush album.

If she knew better, she'd have been that way out of the womb.

I think they should just go for it. They shouldn't let Neil drag them down. If it's true that Ged has more gas in the tank and Alex's arthritis is getting a little better, by all means they should do something together!

Actually you dont need Geoff Downes, Just bring in Carl Palmer.

Screw that. They should get a younger unknown drummer who will bring a youthful energy to the project. Some new blood with serious chops would no doubt help Geddy and Alex to keep their game sharp.

Yes, but PLEASE not a "flaunt my chops" kind of drummer. Someone with TASTE and chops.

I don't think they would want to work with anyone who is just there to be a show off and nothing more. They would certainly get someone who brought more to the table than that.

They should watch the Rush cover bands on YouTube and offer the best one a job. The only problem is Alex and Geddy will have to start writing lyrics.

What's Gavin up to these days? He's a drummer most Rush fans could easily accept.

Certainly worth a try. Judas Priest found their replacement for Halford back in the 90s when they saw Tim Owens singing for a Priest tribute band. Not sure they would have to worry about who writes the lyrics. I think an all instrumental thing would be great.

IMO the lyrics on Clockwork Angels didn't exactly set the bar high.

Geddy could write lyrics that don't sound like they've been shoe-horned into the music.

You again with that? Geddy & Alex aren't victims. Repeat that sentence. Geddy & Alex aren't victims.

Accept it.

Yeah, they should do something together. But don't say that Geddy shouldn't let Alex drag him down if Lerxst makes a personal choice and decides not to do it in the end.

Some of the lyrics off My Favorite Headache are much better than many of the lyrics from Bones - Clockwork.
