    • Honestly, it's my favorite Rush tune. It's perfect lyrically and musically.

    • It's way up there. One of Rush's best for sure.
    • It's not in the upper echelon of Rush songs but I like it quite a bit.
    • It's an alright tune that's ripped too often.
    • I don't like it too much but there are other Rush songs that are worse.
    • I hate it. I skip it every time and/or haven't listened to it in a while.

Bravest Face is a song that's commonly ripped in these parts for the vocals, lyrics, etc.

But is it actually one of Rush's best?

Is it decent?

Is it as horrible as many have said?

Do the lyrics hold some special value to you?

Is there something sublime going on?

I like that show where they solve all the murders

An heroic point of view

It's got justice and vengeance too

At least so the story goes

I like that story; makes a satisfying case

During the "solve all the murders" part, it sounds like Geddy is going to throw up

I don't blame him

Its craaap.

The only reason this song was released to test Geddy's theory that sometimes people like crap.

Judging by the reaction here, it appears that Geddy was wrong.

It's a strange song. I don't like it much but when I happen to hear it, it becomes stuck in my head. I think because the melody is kind of unusual even though the lyrics are awful . .

One of the best 3 songs on a stellar album full of great songs. LOVE IT!!! Awesome lyrics with some of Alex's best guitar work.

I agree with at least 2/3 of this. Bravest Face probably gets a listen from me every time I put this album in. In fact, I may do that soon after this post!

I really like most of S&A.

But this song is no good at all.

I know Rush says they have no recorded studio tracks left in their vault. This songs proves that maybe they should have left some material there.

Exactly. It feels like an unnecessary addition to what should be an excellent album beginning to end, but for a few clunkers like this one.

Yeah, uh, well...it has its moments but it also has a lot of warbling Geddy Lee Chorale Experience...of which I'm not a fan.

Nick R. pushed Geddy to sing way too high a lot on the last 2 albums. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't.

Warbling

Atonal, tone-deaf crap.

That's the briefest, yet best description of Bravest Face ever!

:P Thanks. I try.
