Never had it but would like to try it.

Had it twice. I didn't like it the first time but thought I'd give it another shot at another restaurant/pub.

The gravy just seemed like standard junk food sauce so yeah no problem.

But the cheese curd texture and taste weren't to my liking. It's not totally gross but I can skip it.

I assuming the cheese curds are like large curd cottage cheese?

I don't like cottage cheese either but yeah, somewhat like that.

Other cheese forms are fine with me though.

The cheese is like Mexican queso fresco, or Italian soft mozzarella. I posted a pic of a recent poutine I had in Carson City, made with local lamb...I'll see if I can find it.

This looks much better than the stuff I had those two times I tried it.

I'd easily try this...and the craft beer of course!

Edited to add: I assume that's beer.

tbh, I can't imagine any other drink going with that junk ((let's be honest, poutine IS junk food...believe me, that's NOT meant in a negative way)) than beer. :hail:

The texture is just part of the grossness. They're the nastiest, mainstream food out there IMHO. Even the smell of cooked eggs makes me want to vomit sometimes. Fried, boiled, omelettes, whatever...they all can go to hell.

And they have:

Eggs? Fruit of the devil.

Die Eier von Satan :fury: :haz:
