No. The part from 3:21 to 3:52.

Technically you are right though. But only that part (3:21 to 3:52) makes me tear up.

That part in the song always had kind of a reggae feel to it to me.

Gonna gush over "The Enemy Within"

Very underrated song! Love the bouncy energy, and the chorus is great! It's a shame they only played it live on the GUP tour.

Also, I started a channel where I upload rare Rush bootlegs, and i'd like to gush over the awesome vocals in this version of "Cygnus X-1":

Here's an awesome Hemispheres Tour concert, Gothenburg 1979 (Forgotten Kings, 5/23/1979), one of Alex's best guitar nights, his guitar tone here is unbelievably powerful, heavy, and raw like i've never heard before! Great quality too, and it's complete!

For me, there are two general categories of music:

1 - Rush

2 - Other stuff.

Yes, I do like other music. But there is no other music that will make me stop in my tracks and command my full attention any time I hear it. I can be at a social event, engrossed in conversation with an interesting person I've just met - and then I hear a Rush song playing and suddenly completely lose focus on the conversation as my attention is involuntarily diverted to the music I hear in the background. It can be embarrassing, but I can't help it!

I've had this happen too. It's hard to explain to people who aren't fans how much the band means to you. It's kind of like seeing someone you love across a crowded room. Nothing else matters at that moment.

This is how I feel whenever I am deeply into either Springsteen, Lacuna Coil, Paradise Lost or Nightwish. These four...my biggest obsessions.

Currently LC are that band.

But there was a time I felt like this about Rush. I'd like to think it will happen again.

I'll be doing case file inventory tomorrow, so I'll be chained to my desk and laptop. So the headphones go on and the CD's go in, starting with ASoH and some other smoking tracks.

7. Ghost Of A Chance

8. The Big Wheel

10. The Speed Of Love

11. Resist

12. Cold Fire

13. Everyday Glory

I love all these songs.

Listened to Grace Under Pressure this week and I am still so in love with it. It was the album that got me hooked on Rush. I was a late comer but that album always makes me happy, even though a few songs are dark. I agree with Eel , enemy within is a catchy one and so is Kid Gloves. Listened to it at work last week when I was alone and cranked it up :haz: :rush:

100100100 love the hook in that song...who knew computers pray??

Listening to the six hour remastered bootleg that someone on youtube published a couple of years ago. It's got some cool stuff.

I can gush over a lot of Rush songs. THis would take too long. Lol. Side one of Hemispheres, Camera Eye, Limelight(even though it's been played to death), Free will(same thing), Xanadu, In the End, Natural Science, Jacobs Ladder, THe Trees, Distant early warning, 2112 suite, By Tor and the Snow dog, Subdivisions, The Necromancer, The Weapon, Marathon, Territories, Force Ten, I could go on and on here. Lol. And that's just the tip of the iceberg(pun intended). Edited by New_World_Man

I'm feeling a strong need to gush at the moment. I get their songs stuck in my head and can't get them out, can't even sleep. I listen to other music and have a wide variety but nothing sticks like Rush. Neil's incredible lyrics that somehow he and Geddy make into a song that's not just singable, but something you love. Geddy's voice is great. I have no problems with it until a few years ago when it started to go in the top ranges. Alex's guitar work is superb and always fits into the song beautifully. My songs to rave over today are Natural Science, Bravado, The Pass, and Dreamline. But I could go back to Bastille Day and on to Caravans. Sigh. Right now I'd just like to sleep without Natural Science pounding in my head. I've converted my friend and driver, who says "Hi, guys!" When she turns the key in my car and Rush starts playing. She likes Ghost of a Chance and so do I.
