blueschica
Bicolor sweet corn with lots of butter and a little salt! What do they charge back there for corn? We used to be able to buy 5 for $1.00. Now it's 3 for $2.00! Wow! That's more than we pay. It's usually $4.00 a dozen here, or $1.00 for 3 ears.

I'd probably do better at the mom and pop roadside stands.
Babycat
Instead of a layer cake, I bought myself a gourmet cupcake to celebrate my birthday. I'm eating it now. It has about an inch and a half of cream cheese frosting on top. :)  indeed! :D

Lorraine
Strawberry Yogurt I had Strawberry Yogurt earlier too. I hope your yogurt was tastier than mine. I bought a new kind and it tasted like it had some type of artificial sweetener in it. It was awful. Not even granola in it made it taste any better.

It was an off brand of Yoplait, it was pretty good. I get the off brands because they are cheaper! And I've had yogurts that taste like they have artificial sweetener in it, they are not good at all!

Yoplait is .60 out here; the others are $1.00.

I'd love to make it when the weather turns cool again. Ingredients: 2.5 dl / 8.4 oz of milk (whole or skimmed doesn't matter)100 g / 0.22 lbs sugar60 g / 0.13 lbs butter175 g / 0.38 lbs of chopped dates (without stones)125 g / 0.27 lbs flour125 g / 0.27 lbs graham flour1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder1/2 teaspoon of saltOne beaten egg60 g / 0.13 lbs chopped walnuts A loaf pan measuring 22 x 11 x 7 cm. That's 8.66 x 4.33 x 2.75 in inches. Step 1:Heat the oven to 175 degrees celcius, or 347 degrees fahrenheit.Grease the loaf pan with butter.Heat milk, sugar and butter until the butter is melted, stir in the chopped dates and let it cool until lukewarm. Step 2:Mix the two types of flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Make a pocket in the middle and add the milk mixture from step one, egg and walnuts. Stir shortly until the ingredients are mixed. Step 3:Put the cake mix in the loaf pan and bake it for approximately 35-45 minutes. When you can stick a knife in it and it comes clean out without cake sticking to it, it is done (you probably already know that). Let it cool in the loaf pan. That's all there is too it. If you have any questions shoot me a message. Bon apetit :)
