Of course, Liam and Noel kept having fights and somehow managed to break up Oasis...

There's a reason why they are the way they are. They were physically abused by their alcoholic father.

Tom Cruise also had an abusive father, but that's another story.

As much of a wanker he is, I agree. I prefer bands like Dawes and Fleet Foxes over Mumford. Noel is an a$$hole but my kind of a$$hole since he's said some controversial things I agree with and at least gives a damn. Liam is just a punk.

Edit: Just realized it's an old bumped thread I previously posted in.

Not very sportsmanlike

The Gallagher brothers aren't known for their tact but I agree with him.

Thing is ... even M&S at their worst (which they still have to deliver) is better than 90% of Oasis in their prime. An extremely overrated band - typically 90s. M&S, then, is the among the best new music I've come across since Fleet Foxes. "Babel" is No. 2 on my Album of the Year list - and it's not as good as their debut. Extremely promising band. Could become the act of the decade ....

Oasis, though, ... gone and forgotten except on a tiny island - whose inhabitants I love despite their sometimes questionable musical preferences (But hey, we Germans gave rthe world Rammstein and bought Hasselhoff. NO, NOT ME!!!)

Back to topic, anyone?

No accounting for taste, as they say.

Love Mumford & Sons AND Oasis, but part of loving Oasis is getting a kick out of the Gallagher brothers' antics, lol.

They make their own decisions. Lots of people have endured those conditions and aren't assholes.

The few songs I've heard from M&S didn't do anything for me. Completely forgettable.

As for Liam, I've never heard or read any of the Gallagher bros interviews so I'm not influenced in any way. Not that it'd matter anyway. I only have Oasis' music to judge...overall, it's ok with a couple of good songs. I don't own any of their stuff though and have no desire to.

Sometimes I think you guys are nuts. If Geddy Lee spoke negatively about Pink Floyd or any other band I liked, it wouldn't influence my feelings about the music being spoken about or the music done by the artist speaking negatively.

I found the Oasis documentary pretty interesting...

Oasis aren't anything special aside from a handful of songs, however Mumford and Sons represent the very worst in bland, boring, hipster-t**t-bearded man-bun f***er music...

I'm not a fan of M & S. but to be fair. ol Liam rips on anybody who isn't himself.

funny part is he was part of a mediocre band at best. Bland at worst, lol.

This just makes me laugh. Years and years after the best thing he did ended, he's still the same old Liam Gallagher, this time with a little extra cry-baby. But I can't complain; I love his music too much.

My response to him though, it's not like every artist's fans are as easy to please as yours Liam. Release some music every once-in-a-while and rant about everyone you dislike to "keep it real" (though I'm sure these are his real thoughts, lol), and who can complain?

Sounds like he's joking to me about Dave.
