Lorraine
Wat browser is, in your opinion, the easiest, safest and best? I've been using Firefox and I don't like it. I don't like the way they changed Opera. Don't want to use Chrome.
J2112YYZ
I've been using chrome for a long time. Never had many issues with it. What kind of safety concerns do you have?
Ancient Ways
Firefox was great for a while but a lot of the features I liked became unsupported. I mostly use an iPad with apples iOS
treeduck
I use chrome, it suits my needs. I like how files show up at the bottom of the page when you're downloading shit. You dig you honky mofos?

blueschica
Here's an article that talks about some different browsers. I'm like you- I avoid Chrome (and gmail) like the plague. (I know, I'm just kidding myself, blah blah blah but we all do what lets us sleep at night. :P) If Google wants to know all about me they have to ask Amazon, lol. They are the ones that really know everything about me! I was going to say Safari but I am seeing that it just runs on Macs now. Maybe something in this will help. https://tiptopsecurity.com/what-is-the-most-secure-web-browser/

I'm not going to make it easier for them. I'll take a look at the link later this morning when I am more wide awake. i don't know what they did to Opera but they ruined it. I've been using Firefox, but it's too slow and I just don't care for it. Windows is always trying to get me to use Chrome and, truthfully, it does look like it would be the most practical and easiest browser, but I remember from when it first came out reading articles warning people not to use it.

The reality is your browsing is an open book for any browser. If Chrome can tell me where to find better pornsites, then I consider that a bonus. :P

EagleMoon
Been using Chrome for years. It's the fastest most reliable browser I've ever had. Firefox is fair but bulky. Safari has too many glitches. IE isn't even worth mentioning.
Fridge
Chrome for me...it's possible to set it so data mining is minimised, but as others have said, all browsers do this to an extent. I refuse to use any Apple software as I hate the way they try to lock you into their shitty products..my wife uses an ipad but I hate it.

The best way is just not to sign in to chrome/google etc when prompted.

Fordgalaxy
I use Chrome with quite a few plug-ins to increase security and stop ads. I've tried all the major ones and came back to Chrome. Which plug-ins do you use? I use Do Not Disturb which does stuff like block data mining. I also have AdBlock Plus, DuckDuckGo which is a search engine that doesn't track your searches, and HTTPS Everywhere.

Fordgalaxy
I also forgot Cupcake which enables my browser to be a thru point for someone accessing Tor. All it does it act as a another entry place but only the end IP will show up if someone checks. That's probably not too clear but I'm not exactly sure how to explain it.

Only for deep web, clandestine spy stuff.
