Saw this in the theater. Not a very good film really, but better than many of the Myers-based sequels. Stacy Nelkin sure "moved the needle" in my teens, however, if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean! I totally agree! John didn't even want to write "Halloween II." In all reality John wanted "Season Of The Witch" to be "Halloween II." John wanted to do a different "Halloween" plot for each new installment. But nope! They put a gun to John's head and made him do the sequel. "Witch" I do enjoy but I will never forget reading that John had to drink a six pack of beer and smoke a pack of cigarettes every night to get through the screenplay.

I just heard a rumor that John might do the soundtrack for the next "Halloween" that he wrote. Apparently John was also not to thrilled about all of those lame ass sequels so he is taking his franchise back to do one more masterpiece. I HOPE!!

I just read that the next Halloween will be released October 2018. It'll be a direct sequel to Halloween 2 and written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. Green will direct. They're not exactly my first thoughts when I think of horror film writers or directors. Carpenter is supposed to executive produce and act as creative consultant.

Damnit Johnny!

Yes! You are correct! The new Halloween will be out on October 31st 2018.

I asked John last year when I met him if he had one more horror movie in him.

He turned to me and said...

"Yes I do!" Then he signed my "Halloween" album in silver sharpie. I almost shit myself.

I met the master. He was a lot nicer than Neil. LOL

Damn dude.

I read that John wrote the sequel and is producing. He is just not directing or doing the score.

This makes me sad, but I will take it.

Johnny,

Seriously.

I live for this shite.

I don't understand how John will help produce a script about a burned up and burnt out literally Michael Myers.

That would be really stupid.

A charred, burned Michael chasing babysitters and slitting their throats with a sharp kitchen knife.

Tell me more.

Well from what I've read he's NOT doing any writing for this untitled Halloween flick. Just producing. And who knows how much involvement that truly means?

Think about this:

This century he's written only ONE movie, "Ghost of Mars" back in '01. ONE! And it bombed big time. In the last 28 years it only goes up to TWO film writing credits!

Holy Shit Johnny! This is crazy!!! I do love the "Ghost Of Mars" soundtrack but the movie sucks. Even Ice Cube said it was the worst movie he was ever in!

Wow! I know Debra Hill was his right hand woman but I thought John wrote or at least co-wrote most of his films.

I'm watching "Village Of The Damned." Yes I know another remake but I love it.

Well, at least John has a great eye for the camera and a good ear for soundtracks.

I forgot that Buckethead and Anthrax did a track on "Ghost Of Mars."

So John is just the overseer on this next film. Lame.

I am sad.

By the way I saw this web by the inside of my door area so I sprayed some Windex on the area and used a paper tower to get rid of the web.

A fuckking black widow scared out of it's wits raced into the towel.

I transformed the paper towel into a ball and carried it to the garbage pail.

As I released the paper towel into the garbage the black widow literally flew into the air and landed into the plastic bag.

I quickly tied the kitchen liner closed and ran outside and threw it into the garbage outside.

I am freaked the fukk out right now man.

My heart is racing faster than a Neil Peart cigarette hit on a cool night on the Santa Monica Pier.

I have Black Widow Phobia and I accidentally carried one in my hands in a paper towel.

I could have a stroke and die.

I am sure some of you who read this would be happy.

He's directed two movies this century (Ghosts of Mars + The Ward) and produced two (Vampires: Los Muertos + The Fog).

Ok Ok...

I am a whore. I liked "The Ward." I also liked his two shorts he did for Masters Of Horror.

Wait Johnny...

I thought he directed and wrote "Dark Star" which I am not a fan off.

I thought he directed "Assault" and wrote it.

WTF

Glad I have been duped for 40 years.

And now RUSH IS DEAD too.

I suck

"Whore"?

He wasn't even 30 when he made Assault and the first Halloween. That's pretty impressive to have two classics to your name at such a young age. AND the crazy the fact that he did everything for it: writing, directing, producing, composing...hell, he even crammed in a little acting role for himself in those too.

Sorry Blaze! You are wrong!

Carpenter wrote, directed, did the score and even edited the film under John T Chance which was a John Wayne reference to Rio Bravo which was an influence for "Assault!"

He co-wrote many films with Hill. Of course. Hill and Wallace were big on the "Halloween III" screenplay.

They are all connected.

I don't care man.

John Carpenter will always be my NUMBER ONE.

It's like NEIL PEART.

People love to rip him to shreds too.

I know Neil isn't the greatest drummer ever. That's Buddy Rich.

But for me it's John and Neil.

Fuckk what people think.

I will never change my mind from an outside opinion.

I'm not sure what I'm wrong about. What movies are you talking about? I'm wrong? Yeah, I could be. I'm saying he hasn't done much this century. And if he has then he wasn't given the credits for writing more than what I've stated...this century.

John RULES!

"IDIOTS RULE!

Love,

JANE'S ADDICTION!

PS: We all know King wrote "Christine" but cum on feel the noise boyz!! Only Carpenter could have directed that classic!!!

You aren't wrong. I know John co-wrote most of his masterpieces with Hill. They were also in a serious relationship too until Barbou came around with her big beautiful boobies!

It doesn't matter. Carpenter is still a Legend to me and I met the man and it made my life.

"The Thing" is the greatest remake of all time. No CGI.

The last "Thing" was pure monkey poop. I would rather sling corn infused poop out of my engorged anus that watch that remake again and John gave it his blessing.

Anything for a check.

So John didn't write "Prince Of Darkness?"

This makes me sad.

Aloha!

I'm just chilling on a Friday night home alone with my pug Earl IV!

Just put in the Halloween III soundtrack tonight! Yep! On something called a compact disc.

I see that the "like" and "love" poll questions are at "dead" tie. 6 votes each.

I will take it.

You do know that Tommy Lee Wallace is not only the director of Halloween III but he is the voice over the "Silver Shamrock" Horrorthon Theme! I love him!

Tommy was also "The Shape" in Halloween!

I am totally obsessing over John Carpenter.

He is my RUSH of directing and film scores!!

I think the "Halloween III" soundtrack should have won an Oscar.

It makes me so happy that "Halloween III" will still actually be the third installment of "Halloween" films.

Halloween II will also be erased from Carpenter's slate. A film John hated to make. He said that a pack of cigarettes and a six pack of beer were needed every night to write Halloween II.

I am so happy that a real sequel is in the works for an October 19th 2018 release.

It's ok if the haters are going to hate.

Enjoy watching Porg in Disney Wars Episode Ocho.

Carpenter will not disappoint.

I love him!

Please just keep hating me instead.

I will never change for any woman, man or forum fruit loop Rush Fan.

"Halloween III" will be my second most favorite movie ever made until I die.

"Halloween" will always be my number one.

Like RUSH.

Oh and.......

"Happy Halloween..........."

Love,

Cornal Cochran

Haven’t seen it but I hear it’s not that bad if you ignore that it’s an in name only sequel.

I can’t imagine it being as bad as the one with

Jamie Lee

getting killed off and Busta Rhymes saying “Trick or treat muthafucka!”

HAHAHA! You must watch Halloween III!!!

Earl, set me straight here : Tommy Lee Wallace directed Halloween III -- was he the actor under the mask in the original Halloween ??

Hey Lucas! Yes! Tommy Lee Wallace directed Halloween III. He was also under the mask. As well as Nick Castle.

The scene after PJ has sex with her boyfriend Bob, you see the mask get pulled off of "The Shape." That is yet another actor as the Shape just for that one scene. His name is Tony Moran.
