I'll get to it but first...

:wtf: I'll never understand guys! :D. That dress has got to be the most UNflattering treatment of a bust line I have seen since Project Runway. It's flattening what you're trying to look at ;) ;)

I have X-Ray vision. I could see a woman like her naked (in my mind) even if she were wearing a potato sack!

Dresses like that help my X-Ray vision though.

Wait until I start my new hot guy thread! I'm collecting photos now. Few people are worthy enough to be in New World Women but I believe this guy fits the bill.

Did you know that there was a TRF calendar with a different TRFer for each month for sale? I think that was 2007 or 2008.

For me, besides Sabbath and RUSH, bands that would be in the hunt for best six album run include...

Beatles: Rubber Soul - White Album

Zeppelin: I - Presence

Floyd: Meddle - The Wall

AC/DC: High Voltage (International) - Back in Black

Steely Dan: Countdown to Ecstasy - Gaucho

Queen: Sheer Heart Attack-The Game

Van Halen: Debut-1984

If pressed to pick one, I'd probably go with AC/DC as the strongest run beginning to end.

Beatles: Rubber Soul - White Album

Zeppelin: I - Presence

Floyd: Meddle - The Wall

Queen: Sheer Heart Attack-The Game

Van Halen: Debut-1984

Oh I'll Play!!!

My Top 6 Six Album Runs (in order Favourite to Least Favourite):

1. D-A-D: HelpYourSelfish, Simpatico, Everything Glows, Soft Dogs, Scare Yourself, Monster Philosophy

2. Placebo: Placebo, Without You I'm Nothing, Black Market Music, Sleeping With Ghosts, Meds, Battle For The Sun

3. RUSH: Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire

4. Queen: Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races, News Of The World, Jazz

5. Pear Jam: Vs., Vitology, No Code, Yield, Binaural, Riot Act

6. Death Cab For Cutie: We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes, The Photo Album, Transatlanticism, Plans, Narrow Stairs, Codes and Keys

#1 D-A-D (Disneyland After Dark) could have easily had a 7 or 8 album run by including Riskin' It All at the start or Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark at the end! The other 3 albums are also awesome, so it would be difficult to find any run of 6 that wouldn't merit the top spot.

#2 Placebo, like D-A-D could have easily done a 7 album run, because Loud As Love is as good as anything else in their discography. They would be #1 if the D-A-D 6 would change to include No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims which is their weakest album, despite being their highest worldwide seller.

#3 RUSH: From Permanent Waves through Hold Your Fire it is just one great album after another. The synth era has precious few bad songs. Easily the greatest run of albums RUSH has ever had.

#4 Queen: News Of The World drags down the 6 a little. The tent poles at either end Queen II and Jazz really shine as two of the best rock albums of all time.

#5 Pearl Jam: It would all be so great, but there is No Code sitting in the middle like it is giving us the finger. What a mess of an album to break up an amazing 6 album run.

#6 Death Cab For Cutie: Never as spectacular as any of the bands above, but amazingly consistent. Album after album of excellent music. I only wish I could include The Open Door EP in the run (it falls between Narrow Stairs and Codes and Keys) because it is one of the all time EPs chocked full of amazing songs.

Agree with all but Queen. Even still a solid run

Rush fan forum bias. Again.

This!

Are you seriously surprised? I mean, I voted for Sabbath too because (a) their original lineup is my all-time favorite band (Rush isn't far behind) and (b) Signals was a significant drop-off from the records that preceded it, but c'mon. We're on a RUSH fan site here. I'd have been stunned if this result was even remotely close.

The only thing that comes close is KISS-Love Gun, but that's because I am nuts

Nothing is going to beat those six Yes albums

This is why Rush will always be my favorite band of all time. You have to take a small segment of their albums or individual albums to beat them. But as a career or their entire classic era, nobody comes close.

That era for bands was so incredible because it was non stop .. An album ( or sometimes two ) per year and constant touring and being on the road ..

The way musicians dedicated themselves to the lifestyle and bringing new stuff to the fans was pretty amazing ..

I bet a lot of musicians look back at that type of schedule now and think "How the hell did I do that ?"

Another contender? Iron Maiden's "Killers" through "Seventh Son."

I thought honestly about Iron Maiden and it just doesn't work for me. Killers is very weak AND with Paul Di'Anno. I would say okay if it was the 1st album even with Di'Anno, but Killers just doesn't cut it. And on the other side No Prayer For The Dying is also one of their weakest albums, so that doesn't work either. If it was Fear Of The Dark, then okay, but not No Prayer For The Dying. My assessment was that Iron Maiden had 5 stellar albums in a row, but never managed 6.

Really remarkable, that bit. Like Elton John releasing "Madman Across the Water", "Honky Chateau" (6 months), "Don't Shoot Me..." (8 months), "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" (9 months for a double album!) and Caribou (8months) all within nine months or less of each other. Or, take Creedence Clearwater Revival, whose album releasing career spanned all of four years with the release of seven albums.

I like No Prayer so I would even go Debut>NPFTD. Thats 8.
