Stick It Out is very special to me, because that was my first favorite Rush song, and the Rush song that made me love the band, when I saw them live 2011. So I put my vote on that one, tho I do like them all in one way or another. (Resist, I only like the acoustic one that they did on their R30 Tour, its kinda boring on the studio album). Very strong era of RUSH music just below the synth era in terms of quality. I would/could never name just a single song as being a favourite or that much better than every other song, so I picked one that is in my group of absolute favourites that I doubted anyone one else would pick. And also because 'The World is a Cage for your Impotent Rage, but don't let it get to you' is one of my favourite lines of lyric ever, in any song. Edited by diatribein

i would say a majority of my least favorite songs on this list are from test for echo tbh. in my opinion, it's not their best.

Animate and about half. Of the other half there are only a few that I really don't like, the rest I'm pretty indifferent.

I'm indifferent with almost everything on T4E. I don't love or dislike anything on there. I just like a few. So it's hard to feel too much of anything for that album.

With RTB, I really like Dreamline and Bravado but dislike/hate 3 songs on that album.

I have found that to be true with most of the albums post Signals.

I could have gone Dreamline, GOAC, Resist, T4E, Driven, or Half The World, but I went with The Color of Right. Preachy, but awesome.

It's so sad that you always go for the nostalgia picks, ignoring modern and great music. You and the other 80's dinosaurs give Rush fans a bad name.

But the 80s dinosaurs are so spry compared to the 70s dinosaurs that are the vast majority on this board and REALLY give RUSH fans a bad name. Now be nice to me since I also think that Test For Echo went a ways to right the wrongs of Counterparts (unlike most here) and I consider Color Of Right one of the best songs not only on Test For Echo but of this whole era. I think you'll find that compared to the majority on this board, I rank the 90s material very highly. I just rank the 80s albums a little bit higher.

- 8 bit video game character in av : CHECK

- User name that includes a band that didn't even make it into the 80s : CHECK

- Album from 1973 in av : CHECK

I was being ironical: I'm one of the 70s dinosaurs Diatribe doesn't like (though I love all but 2 of the albums released after Presto).

I was just teasing you a bit. I'm not a fan of the synth era (I like most of the work, but it is Rush's weakest period in my mind) and I love the 70s stuff the most (which, of course, includes PeW as everyone knows).

Nice pick. It didn't quite get my vote here, but it's my favorite Test for Echo tune.

Did anyone notice that TFEman, when given the choice of ANY song from Test For Echo versus songs from Roll The Bones & Counterparts, voted Face Up! Seems like he's a lot more of a RTBman than a true TFEman. I mean unless RTBman was already taken as a username or TFE stands for something other than Test For Echo. Either way, I was happy to see Face Up get a favourite vote thrown its way, since it is another one of those much maligned songs from Roll The Bones that I love.

Went with Everyday Glory and about half (15).

The 2'nd question was easy. The first was a slugfest involving Between Sun & Moon, Alien Shore, Speed of Love, Cold Fire, Dreamline, Bravado, Resist, Carve Away the Stone & Everyday Glory. Very hard to pick a winner from that large batch of very good songs.
