Segue Myles
I don't think you can really say a ha was better than the eagles... llol. talk to Segue Myles. Mick A-Ha are woefully overlooked as a one hit wonder. Better than Eagles? Honestly I think Limp Bizkit was better than Eagles. And I hate that band.
Rick N. Backer
I like them. They're mostly a "greatest hits" band for me. I'll take them any day over Queen, or early Genesis, or Porkpie Hat though. RnB...can't be! I know. Sorry, man. Those bands do nothing for me.

Anthemic
their records sound great but most of their songs are boring as shit.
Entre_Perpetuo
I think the disses of Queen and early Genesis must have silently lured me here. Now that I'm here, I do like the Eagles, but not half as much as Queen and Genesis (both eras). I've never really understood what people hate about them, other than their personalities. Great songs, perfect senses of harmony and melody, great variety. Yeah they got a little soft towards the end, and yeah they were more country than rock at times, but I just don't see how that's a bad thing. They never claimed to be a heavy rock band in the first place. Again: GREAT songs. But I prefer my first and fourth favorite bands :P

Ancient Ways
Don Henley had some really lousy things to say about Rush in '02 when they were getting ready to tour again.Doesn't have anything to do with the Eagles music though.

goose
Yeah they got a little soft towards the end, I think they got heavier with the addition of Joe Walsh.

driventotheedge
Comfortably in my top-10 all-time favorite bands. Saw them 7 times and never once left thinking they were anything but fabulous.Henley is probably my 2nd favorite lyricist just behind Dylan. Digital Dad
I've had a rough night but I don't necessarily hate the Effen Eagles. Don Henley is kind of a pratt though. Glenn is dead so I won't talk shit about him. If it wasn't for Joe Walsh I probably would hate the Eagles though. Oh and Timothy B Schmidt's vocals on I Can't Tell You Why are golden. Total yacht rock classic.

Texas King
The fact is that they are one of the most beloved bands in the USA. And the most commercially successful domestic band.
Lorraine
I used to like them until I watched a documentary about them. Sometimes the less you know about the personalities in a band, the better off you are. Edit: I still like some of their songs, but Glen and Don were obnoxious. Joe Walsh in the Eaglezzz was like putting Richie Blackmore in the Osmonds.I way prefer Joe's work, solo and with the James Gang, over ANY Eagles shite!
