He is 77 and for all his life he avoided Tolkien thinking it was going to be boring rubbish. He adored the books after much pushing. Now he says he loves the films!!Very cool! I liked it, but because it was funny.I didn't hate it...but the hype was so insane I thought this was a proper horror movie...the sort that rarely comes out...crazy scary...what we got instead was another tongue in cheek horror that felt about a tenth as clever as it really was. Being a big Scream fan...I wouldnt have minded if it felt as clever as the director intended it to be. But I've seen it three times so obviously something about it is watchable haha!
