Moana. (Disney fan here as well). I'm glad they made it different, but it was forgettable IMO. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson really made that movie or else it would have not been nearly enjoyable. Songs were average at best.

I have to say I've pretty much forgotten it too. Not a patch on Zootopia.

Zootopia was absolutely amazing! Saw it 5 times in theaters...bought the DVD, saw it 3 times, overall 8. Great film from start to finish. I especially loved the scene where Chief Bogo made a jab at "Frozen" with this statement: "Life isn't some cartoon musical where you sing a little song, and your insipid dreams MAGICALLY COME TRUE!!!! So Let. It. Go."

Narc.

Jason Patric and Ray Liotta turn in a couple of excellent and very believable starring performances.

Had never even heard of this one but it's as good as it is tense and gritty. There are some slow parts in it but it delivers.

Grade: B+

I've read reviews from those who worked in the field say how realistic it is especially with the brutal interrogation scenes. Liotta should have had an Oscar nomination.

YAAASSS!

Now I enjoyed Moana. I think it's a safe film but honestly...it appears to be underwhelming at the box office a little and I can see why.

It's from the same directors as The Little Mermaid and the massively underrated The Princess And The Frog. The same team also made Hercules and Treasure Planet. I'd put Moana above...let me see...none of them.

I liked it though and I prefer it to the wave of annoying animated movies like Despicable Me or Secret Life Of Pets or anything else...it's a safe, quietly charming Disney flick. You know what it is before it starts and even though it has some tweaks to the formula I feel it flows better as a screenplay than Frozen did. But I would rank Frozen higher. The hype is unreal for that one but that is because at the end of the day it's a very good film.

I actually LIKE Despicable Me, but Secret Life of Pets sucked, and Sing was well...off-key. Moana's story was the same old same old. As you mentioned Hercules, that movie is in my Top 5 of Disney movies, VERY underrated. Frozen was ran into the ground.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (Extended Edition) Blu Ray

My dad finally read the books last year. He is 77 and for all his life he avoided Tolkien thinking it was going to be boring rubbish. He adored the books after much pushing. Now he says he loves the films!!

I've only written one review on Fandago, and it was for that movie. Here it is:

"Horrible, horrible dialogue, phoned in by two capable actors who obviously had so little confidence in the script that they deliver their lines as if they were in a high school play. It's rare that I encounter a movie that makes me want to walk out at the first scene (imagine Tango And Cash in the dark ages, and you'll get an idea how vapid the dialogue is), but this was one of them. Zero historical accuracy. Zero character development. A plot that made no sense. Truly a total piece of garbage."

Really? I kind of liked it. Except for the end battle.

Agreed. Just a dumb fantasy movie, no different to the tonnes of folk tales from the time period that bear little relevance to common sense of historical relevancy.
