YYZumbi
My turntable is my instrument. Do not need anything else Ok... I kinda wish I could play guitar, I got two guitars (1 electric and 1 acoustic) and I tried to learn for a long time, by using youtube, and other sites, but it was to hard for me. I guess I need a teacher.....

Maverick
Guitar I think I learned parts of different songs early on. I remember figuring out the main power chord riff of Rock You Like A Hurricane before I even knew what I was doing. But the first song, front to back, that I learned was, of course...Stairway to Heaven. It was definitely cliche to learn that song first. That song probably inspired a million kids to pick up the guitar in the first place. But for me, it was a matter of extreme convenience. The magazine Guitar for the Practicing Musician had just published an edition with the full tab for Stairway, and I had just started buying the magazine every month. I can't remember if that was the same issue that had the tab for YYZ, as well. I remember that issue having concluded the Guitar Wars and Bass Wars. Geddy Lee beat Chris Squire, and the magazine had full page pictures of both of them.

goose
Drums: I'm not certain, but one of the earliest I remember learning was When the Levee Breaks, by Led Zeppelin I feel like i was born with that track pre-learned. So primal.
404-ed!!!
Guitar: Man I feel like I learned mostly pieces of songs for a long time. Excluding solos, I'm pretty sure it was Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath and a bunch of Green Day/Nirvana. When I Come Around and Smells Like Teen Spirit jump out as songs I learned the whole way through early. Trumpet and piano...I assume Hot Cross Buns or something like that.

Blue J
I like to start off strong: -Guitar: Purple Rain ( solo included ) - Prince-Bass: Limelight-Drums: Enter Sandman- Metallica-Keys: Songbird - Fleetwood Mac A prodigy! My brother is like that. Drums, guitar, bass, keys...I remember it myself when he started on all but the drums, and he would just mess around for an hour or two, never having touched the instrument before- and pretty much have the rudiments down, in that amount of time. Made me sick with jealousy!
