Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

I would really like to see a movie about Han Solo's past. It could be called the Kessel Run.

I can't imagine it as a workable title since it's so specific that only the diehards would know what it means. For example, I knew it was a reference to the Falcon's speed but not the specifics.

Anyway, apparently they've narrowed down the Han actors for the prequel to: Alden Ehrenreich, Jack Reynor, and Taron Egerton. Who? Who? And who?

I'd like to see how they explain how Han & Chewie hooked up. And i wonder if they'll show the circumstances in which Han got Falcon from Lando.

Looks good. I like the idea of these ancillary movies as they will have less things to nitpick about in theory. Maybe there will be less stress to make it all fit. Deadpool has been very successful since the goal was to make an awesome movie and not necessarily a chapter that has to be tightly wedged into the universe.

I like it. My worry is that they will soften him up. He's kind of a dick in episodes iv and v and is a criminal who smuggles illegal items and shoots first when threatened by bounty hunters. When he was leaving mos Eisley he thought he was taking advantage of a kid and an old man.

Only the die hards know what it means?

It's a Star Wars movie. We are all die hards!

You get the right actor to play a young Han Solo, and the right story with the right amount of action, and it will be a smash.

Heck, Han Solo may not have even owned the Millennium Falcon at the time. It could be a totally different character to introduce into the Star Wars universe.

Of course, I am not thoroughly versed in the Star Wars universe, so maybe it is already out there that Han was the pilot on the Kessel Run.

I'm living proof that we're not all die hards. I really liked the original & Empire, liked Return of the Jedi & Force Awakens, disliked Clones & Sith, and despised Phantom Menace. I've seen all the originals multiple times but I can't name more than a dozen characters outside of the main guys. I couldn't tell you anything about the Kessel Run besides it involves the Falcon going fast and it was Han who did it. I'd say I'm fairly typical. And I can't say that that's "die hard". What's hard to understand about that?

I probably won't be in a rush to see this movie but I will see it at some point. I like the idea of doing these separate stories outside of the main saga. There's so many possibilities within the Star Wars universe that doing stand alone movies makes sense to me. Maybe we'll get some cool new characters out this as well.

What's hard to understand about the fact that you will totally want to see this movie if it is done well?

He is. And they did.

Chicks dig the hair. And so did Han.

That's not my point.

My only point is : nobody outside of die-hards will know what the Kessel Run is AND not everyone who likes Star Wars is a die hard. You probably didn't catch that because you're still fixated on Bowl's mum.

I still think it would be a cool name. Those who don't know what it is will have to see the movie to find out.

Danny Elfman could do the music.
