I had a husky years ago and he was the most hard headed thing. Would take off at every chance and I remember my dad saying that he'd let him go except for the fact that our other dog went with him.

I have a Carolina Dog that I got from a private shelter about 4 years ago.

Yeah, I never heard of one either. We ran into another owner at the dog park so I did some research and figured out that she was one. She fits the breed characteristics exactly. They're often mistaken for husky-shephard-shiba inu mixes, but they are a specific breed. Most....awesome....dog....ever. For being supposedly a feral breed she's incredibly well behaved. Looks like a smaller shephard with pointy ears and a fishhook tail.

These are my two dogs with my precious grandaugter. Our boy Cosmo on the left is an Australian Cattle dog mixed with Border Collie. He is very hyper and constantly needs something to do. It is a rare moment to get him to stay still. Our girl Paris is a Heinze 57 but as best we can tell her two main traits are derived from Chow Chow (we know that was what her mother was) and Labrador. Believe it or not she was the runt of the litter and still is scared of her own shadow. Both are officially unofficial rescue dogs. Cosmo was being dumped by someone on Craigslist who could not handle his hyperactivity. Paris we got form our ex neighbors who were probably the most irresponsible "pet owners" I have ever witnessed. To many times I saw the puppies out in the cold and rain with no food and water. We couldn't save them all but but we did save one. Alexis the star in the middle, she loves both dogs soo much and they love her right back. We are very blessed to have all of them sharing time with us.

Funny story...my dog (a golden) has a stuffed rabbit toy that we don't allow her to take outside when it's raining for obvious reasons. Several nights ago on rainy evening, my wife let's the dog out and wants me to let her inside before I go to bed. About 1/2 hour later, I go to let the dog in and see her prancing around the yard with this rabbit toy. Wondering why my wife let the dog take it outside in the rain, I let the dog inside and pick up the toy only to find that it's the real thing.

It didn't look too good, but I think it just had the wind knocked out of it.
