78jazz
Signals Era had the best hair Unless I am missing something in this, this photo appears to be a pre-AFTK photo (I base that on the bridge of the bass). Yeah and he's running it from the mono output jack. Good catch. I missed it.
Day of Light
I think Geddy looks kinda cute when he's staring into the void http://i.imgur.com/5e5P3o0.jpgRoll the Bones Geddy http://i.imgur.com/5d2NRhh.jpgI think this is Fly By Night era Geddy? http://i.imgur.com/UPDAOpK.jpgI am going to assume this is a very focused Hold Your Fire era Geddy He doesn't really do that anymore. The whole "look serious but glassy-eyed into a point 2 inches above the viewer's head" look
Lorraine
http://i.imgur.com/5e5P3o0.jpg I don't remember ever seeing this picture before. I love it for two reasons: - his shirt - and the look on his face. Shows a different Geddy - a tired and worn out Geddy. Maybe even annoyed or disgusted.
Day of Light
Yeah it's unusual that Ged lets a photographer see his resting face. I've seen other "sad-looking" Geddy pictures (he's got round eyebrows, big eye sockets and downturned eyes, I think it's why Geddy looks so charming, sensitive, etc when he's smiling) but he's genuinely looking done in this one. I'm not sure if the picture was taken for the magazine in particular, but I found it here, and Google Image Search suggests it's the only original source: http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/transcripts/19920500guitarist.htmMay 1992 issue, and they were interviewed during the Roll the Bones tour at Chapel Hill, which would make it March 7th when Ged spoke with the interviewer.
Lorraine
I know that the end of the eighties wasn't a good time for them. One thing I do know - they aged a lot in a few short years. I'll go get my book out and give you the exact time-frame.
Lorraine
Between Hold Your Fire tour and Presto. I never saw three men change in appearance (i.e. age) so much.
Day of Light
Oh, I can see that. It doesn't help that they were quite baby-faced during the synth years, though. When I saw pictures of ponytail Geddy before getting to know the timeline better, I thought they were taken ten years after the Presto era, not in 1990. He looks like an old man in his late thirties, lets his hair down again during Roll the Bones, and then looks younger and softer during Counterparts era. Lorraine
He looked good during the Test For Echo tour. A lot better than he looked during the Presto/RTB era. I don't think the eighties were kind to them in many ways, and all the touring they did, plus personal problems, took their toll on them physically. Day of Light
So Geddy's off vacationing in South America and a fan posted this selfie with him: http://i.imgur.com/P5XwQ2u.jpg I would've expected to see him with visible gray roots, but it seems like there's just a bit of gray on the front of his head and on his facial hair. Guess he still has to keep up the illusion of luscious dark curls for everybody. :)

And it's not that Geddy is short (which is nice; I like tall guys), it's just that his bandmates are particularly tall.

Day of Light
I guess the skates add, like, 12 inches of height. They also add 30 pounds of muscle. Good skates.
