After watching most of R40 now, I disagree with my previous post. Ged doesn't need a new vocal coach, he's doing just fine for his age. He just needs to stop breaking into notes, and sing a little more crisp on ends of notes here and there.

I enjoyed How It Is a lot, singing was strong.

And this is worth starting a new thread over? The same conversation is going on in other threads already.

nicky6, please stop filling up this forum with redundant threads. Thanks.

You should have a forum area just for the special people and neurotics.

Then again, the rest of the forum might be a bit empty...

A sort of cyber white padded room.

Fraroc on his own with a pile of CDs by bands who are going to retire tomorrow.

Nicky6 in an echo chamber

Segue with his own hall of mirrors

The rest of you...locked in with me.

That was very funny.

I was at that show, too.

I thought that was you in the audience yelling when they did The Camera Eye. ;)

The sound of the bootleg isn't that great, but the enthusiasm of that audience makes up for it.

I think he's fairly fine with anything in the first half of the show, and a few things in the second half...if they dropped a key, then things weren't too bad... the worst was Lakeside Park, though...I thought that would have been an easy one to drop a step of two, but yikes! It sounds like he's hurting when he's singing it.

That was you 73??

I recall MP tour had a serious almost ominous vibe, with the Overture opener, and the big blast "scaring" me as a young teenager. By the next tour for Signals, alot of the "Rush comedy" lightness was part of the show, and a lot of vintage 70s tunes disappeared, as the setlists were more of the synth dominated lists that were their live staple through the CA tour.

Did you happen to catch PeW tour there the year before? The date I will never forget, 5-23-1980, as perhaps the happiest public event ever on Long Island occurred on the very same surface mere 17 hours after Rush exited stage left. I was this ' ' close to going...

Rumor has it the band played the encore in soon to be championship hockey uniforms! Four times!

I've wanted that bootleg for years. Does it exist? Only have B-Man's account of what happened in Visions if I recall correctly. Fortunately, I already have the recording (and the newspaper articles) of what took place at 5:45 the following day at 7:11 of Overtime.
