Earl loves Ghost like I love Toto! Which is cool. Rush are not the be all and end all, and fans of music have much to enjoy!

I was one of the biggest Dream Theater fans in the world through the "Awake" album! Then it all went downhill for me but I have always purchased every DT release so it's not like I'm naïve and stupid about their music. I like a few songs here and there through out their "inconsistent canon." I actually liked most of the last DT album. I think this new album will suck ass. Is this the DT Thread or a ST TF Thread? Besides, I saw Ghost open on the Heritage/Hunter tour, and I thought they were too gimmicky with too little substance. I just thought it was kind of juvenile. If I want some Skeletor-looking priest singing to me about doom and gloom, I'll go to church. And, his robed minions had on jeans and sensible shoes under their robes. It would have been more convincing if they were, like, naked under there and barefoot, or wearing Jesus sandals. But, that said, I haven't sat down and listened to any of their music. That was only my first impression of them.

Well darling, and truth be told around here that I too still in touch with my child self hence I am well a juvenile. You just used a "He-Man" metaphor. You are starting to write like me! LOL! Tobias Forge: I knew his music in Magna Carta Cartel. He's very talented, I do like what he does. It's purely sensitive music.

I saw some Ghost videos and really got into his performances and dark atmosphere.

 

 

Steven Wilson is intelligent and in the music he created with Porcupine Tree, there are absolut masterpieces. :clap: :musicnote:

I'm a fan of all albums: they have a 'special music touch' and are deeply meaningful.

Full of metaphors and symbols, since the album covers until the last string played.

 

I do respect and appreciate this artist, who does great things in his solo carreer too.

 

If I have to choose, my vote is for Steven.

I put on "Blank Planet" today on my commute home. I couldn't listen it to it. Man, it's brings me down. Perhaps it's my current state of mind with the personal shit I am going through. I put on "Deadwing" next. It didn't move me like it did.

Perhaps I have evolved into a more intellectual, enduring, awesome human! Just kidding.

 

Fukk I have no idea why I have fallen out of love with all of Wilson's stuff.
