Neil's camera photo from LA

I see Tom Healey.

Where? I don't see him.

He's wearing an orange hat, slightly intoxicated.

I don't know if you're pulling my leg or not, but I see someone in what could be an orange hat in the third row standing in back of some guy with his mouth wide open and what appears to be a beard (can't tell if it's just a shadow).

Whether he is tipsy or not, I cannot tell from this distance. ;)

Nope...it's Tom Healey.

Yes, Tombstone, you are correct, that's me in the orange hat. The front row is what it is; the second row is people who didn't have tickets remotely close to the front of the stage but stood directly behind the front row railers during the second set because it might have been the last set of Rush "big tour" music and because there was no one to stop them. The third row, actual second row, is me. And I must say, I'm glad that the photo wasn't taken by John Arrowsmith. John has a habit of taking pix from behind the drum riser that universally manage to catch my face behind a drum head, or blocked by Geddy's back, or totally obscured by someone's raised fist, or when I left to take a leak. But he always manages to get the person next to me, beautifully in focus, with true-to-life colors, and suitable for framing. Some day, I'm going to make a collage of John Arrowsmith pix in which I'm within the frame but not within actual view. Going back five tours, I believe the number of photos in my collage would be over a dozen. But I'm not bitter. Crap.

I wish Jigga was in there

Tom, is this true?

I know it's him...right after that pic was taken I walked over to get him. We traveled to the Forum in the same cab together. Me, Grey, x1yyz, and Tom. Then we hung out in Inglewood (In front of Steve Harvey's Fried Chicken in fact) afterwards, waiting for another cab for the ride back to our hotels.

Tombstone, thank goodness you did get me. I might still be at the Forum, waiting for the second encore to start!

Eagle, thanks for posting the pic, your effort is appreciated. It's a great pic. I think the band, including Neil, gets how we feel about them.

In the front row center, we can see the couple that paid the ten grand for the tickets we were all drooling over on TM resale.

Maybe, unless they were seat crashers. And you're entirely welcome. My pleasure. :)

Yes it's true about him being Tom and about him being tipsy.

If Rush doesn't tour again (soonish) then we're going to have to have a TRF meetup when some tribute band plays.

Eagle, yes, neat picture, thanks for posting. Tomorrow morning by 10 AM, it'll be printed and posted outside my office, with a large red circle around my somewhat inebriated, orange-doffed head.

You weren't trashed...you were in fine shape to walk and hold coherent conversation. I've got video proof of that

I have a feeling that a higher res picture will surface. I have no idea where this came from. The guy that posted it on FB hasn't said.

Saw this posted on Facebook a little while ago. I'm not sure where it came from, but it's a picture from Neil's camera at the last show in LA.

"Through The Camera Eye"

Neil is the greatest. He is "Everybody's Hero."

The cool thing about my personal Rush Live Experience is that the first show I saw was in 1984. For some reason I got involved with a bunch of kids who wanted to well "bum Rush the show." LOL

So I ran into the front of the crowd and got shoved into the barrier under Geddy. Geddy looked down at us and he looked worried but they continued to play.

I was in Heaven standing in the front for about half of the show.

Anyway 31 years later I am standing in third row on Alex's side at the LA FORUM. I was way over but I still had a great angle of Neil's kit.

Long story short right when "Lakeside Park" kicked in I moved up into the front row and worked my way inward. I'm not in the picture but I was damn close.

So it's fitting that my first show I snuck into the front as a 16 year old. As a 47 year old I did it again,

This is even more proof that I will never grow up.

Well now that my band is done perhaps I hope I don't grow old and gray.

I'm not even close to "Losing It" just yet, but seeing that song performed live was closure for me.

Sorry BARD. You will never understand it and to me that's a tragedy.

RUSH RULES!

I wonder who Miss Casual is seemingly not too impressed by anything?

That's EagleMoon right?

Good one Duff. :LMAO:

Grey, I had some of your delicious sweet mustard on a sandwich tonight. Really hit the spot!

I ran out months ago. Lucky girl you.

I was going to put the mustard in the tube on but a bit too much of that and ........... :outtahere:

The Löwensenf is killer. I bet you can rout a bear with that stuff.

I love that stuff! My sister sends it from time to time. We also have a German restaurant and market in Reno that has it.
