So... why is one of the symbols/logos for R40...

That wasn't their intent, I think. It was them crossing off 4 lines, or 4 decades of music.

But if you want to get symbolic and "aliens", it could mean that they're hinting they aren't done yet and the "5" is a sign that they still have more in the tank.

It means 40 + 1 because it's actually been 41 years, not 40.

There is your tat. Strategically placed no doubt... :D

Well I could always get an owl that wrapped around my ankle. I have another tattoo on my right ankle. I could get that on my left. :)

The one on my right ankle didn't really hurt. It's above my ankle about an inch.

Get down below the ankle bone, to the foot, and its excruciating.

I would think it would hurt like that anywhere the skin is thin.

I emailed Hugh and asked what it means and here is his answer:

Dear Robert,

Yeah - that was an amazing 40+ year run!

I have (guarded) hopes and some expectation that they will get tired of golf and fishing — and do another studio album somewhere down the road :)

The tourbook cover is a play on the marks that inmates scratch on the walls of their cells.

It’s a way to mark "time served".

Simply that.

Cheers,

Hugh

You went to the source, I never would have thought of that! That was very cool of him to respond. Thanks for passing that along.

That's pretty obvious but he didn't answer the real question. :)

For the last time, HE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE YOUR THING IS

He can stop looking because I don't have one.
