Motown back in the 60s was so incredible. I love it.

Supremes - You keep me hanging on, Stop in the name of love, etc.

Four Tops - Bernadette

One advantage of being the old f@rt that I am is I lived through the music of the 60s... It will never be topped, in my opinion

Canuck, how I agree with you.

I loved the Four Tops. In the eighties they were playing somewhere in NJ and I wanted to go see them, but something else came up and I didn't.

Can't Help Myself

Same Old Song

Shake Me, Wake Me

As for The Supremes, no one here has yet mentioned Where Did Our Love Go. I was about eight when that came out, but I remember the teenage girls across the street sitting on their front steps all in a row swaying back and forth to the song. Funny the silly things you remember sometimes.

I think if I had the capability of listening to all of these songs, I'd be a basket case right now.

The memories attached to each one! Also, there's something about the music in many of them that just strikes a sobbing nerve. I'm not sure if it is the actual music, or the memories that go with it, or a little of both.

They packed so much in a song that was often less than four minutes, didn't they?

Awww

Listen Little Mick, I saw them in Hoboken in 1984 or 1985 do this song. That's what the Brooklyn Bridge had been relegated to.

Now, go belt the song out for old times sake! :)

How about The Friends of Distinction - "Grazing In The Grass"?

Let's not forget that classic tune "Classical Gas" either.

oh i go back. Mack the Knife performed by Bobby Darin was one of the first songs i memorized and would sing for people.
