One song I've always loved that nobody ever seems to recall anymore is Across 110th Street, by Bobby Womack. I love that tune!

Some others...mainly in the soul category:

Bill Withers- Grandma's Hands

Rufus feat. Chaka Khan- Tell Me Something Good

Sly and the Family Stone- I Want to Take You Higher

Booker T. and the MG's- Green Onions

Gladys Knight & the Pips- Midnight Train to Georgia

The glory days of AM radio in the '60s are certainly a little before my time, but I know all of these songs you guys have posted (and Silly Love Songs, too, TM)...

Hmmm, what else...

Hey, who remembers the 13th Floor Elevators?

Motown back in the 60s was so incredible. I love it.

Supremes - You keep me hanging on, Stop in the name of love, etc.

Four Tops - Bernadette

One advantage of being the old f@rt that I am is I lived through the music of the 60s... It will never be topped, in my opinion

That reminds me of another one-
