I asked 73.

He didn't say yes.

He didn't say no.

I definitely leaned towards it being okay to post songs and show details without spoiler labels. My only question was if there would be a European leg next year, but everything we have seen would seem to suggest that the LA show was the last R40 show.

As for spilling things for people who are waiting for the DVD, there's no way we can worry about that. Who knows how long it will take for the videos to be released -- probably about a year from now.

Can we please keep the R40 spoiler section up as a separate memorial to the greatest tour ever (well, at least since Mov Pictures!) and our memorable periscope threads! Many thanks!

We usually wait a few months or so, then merge all the contents of the just-ended tour forum into the main tour forum. I don't know about keeping the R40 forum up -- we'll give it some thought.

Has nobody got any love for HOW IT IS!?!?!?!

I LOVE How It Is! I am so glad I was able to watch them perform that song. It's a much better song than OLV.

What You're Doing

Working Man*****

*Clockwork Angels opened the Tulsa show, and The Anarchist was played second. Thereafter, the two songs swapped places.

**Toronto 6/19 (with Ben Mink), Newark (with Jonathan Dinklage), New York (Dinklage), Vancouver (Mink), and Los Angeles (Dinklage) only. Clockwork Angels / The Wreckers was skipped.

***Only played during shows featuring YYZ.

****abbreviated

*****with Garden Road teaser

This is a very good breakdown, but doesn't quite tell the full detailed story. There were three base sets lists that were alternated for most of the shows, Early on, it was A, B, C, then repeat in order, but starting with Toronto and the introduction of Losing It, the rotation got out of whack at various times. All in all, there were 7 different variations of sets, 3 of which were only played once and 1 of which was only played twice. Cygnus X-1.net appears to have them broken out nicely (as usual).

My favorite of the three base sets was the B- set, which included The Wreckers, How It Is, Between the Wheels, and The Camera Eye.

My favorite of the whole tour was the 2nd Toronto show, which combined the B- set (for the first set), and the C- set (for the 2nd set) - but with Losing It added and The Wreckers omitted.

Anyone who was able to stay spoiler free all the way up to the L.A. show deserves a medal. :P

I had a group of guys sitting right behind me at the LA show who did manage to remain spoiler free. I will say that the opener in Tulsa was by far the best show for me because of all of the awesome surprises in the setlist - like Cygnus X-1, Lakeside Park, Anthem, and What You're Doing. Because of that I can totally understand why so many people wanted to remain spoiler free.

I made it to Boston to spoiler free (other than what the band *ruined* with the Xanadu trailer (! :wtf: ) and I saw Anthem in this forum - yeah, yeah, I know ... spoiler expected ... I got what I deserved).

In May, I went into total Rush media aversion. Spoiler free to the Boston show June 23 and I was all the better for it. :)

I ended up going to the Tulsa show because I wanted to remain spoiler-free (I love [good] surprises!) and knew I couldn't do so and participate in this forum. It was so wonderful being part of an audience where we were able to discover the setlist (and stage show) together.

Yes, one of the reasons I regret missing the opener. If I get another opportunity, I will make sure that doesn't happen. :)
